They looked like a team that dealt with a massive event all week.

They still put up 35 on us and beat us by 12.
Nope. They put up 21 points

That’s my point exactly…hard to blame a coach for either of those. But that Bears game the team was totally unprepared and got smoked.
The Bears wanted it more.

They came to Foxboro and took the game away from NE. It doesn't matter that Chicago is picking 1st in the 2023 draft. Any NFL team can beat any NFL team is a worn out corny cliché, but these guys are all Pros and have pride. This Chicago team did not want to go down in the NFL record books having been the loss that placed Bill Belichick past George Halas.

Pats are in a tough spot right now. They are a 8 to 10 win caliber team and it’s tough to draft elite players from the middle of the draft. They’ll never bottom out as long as BB is here. Mediocrity isn’t great in the NFL.
Patriots would have comfortably clinched a WC spot a few games ago with a different O.C.

The issue is pretty glaring. I don't think things are as bleak as they seem.

As an outsider, they need that legit #1 receiver. A guy who can take the top of a defense. IE Chase or Jefferson type guy.

Interesting, because I was just talking about this to Barth, we have Onwenu, Uche and Dugger all coming up at the same time, in what order do you want to prioritize?
Dugger and Onwenu. Pass rusher will get a huge contract, Uche will be overpaid. Stinks but that’s how it goes. Take advantage of the cap space next year and see if we can reel in a title with all 3 of them still on the team.

Move Judge to ST, fire Patricia, draft BPA for lineman and/or DB. Plug holes in FA. Looking forward to this off-season. Team can improve dramatically if played right.

1 more year of Jonnu Smith. Can’t imagine they’ll cut him considering the dead cap hit.

Uche is a 1 trick pony. Him giving up contain to try and rush inside was directly responsible for 1 TD and also a huge 3rd down conversion. He’s a sub-rusher not a cornerstone player IMO.
Uche has made strides, but agreed he is one dimensional. Pay him the amount of money due to a rotation player that can help win games, but he's not your ideal starter on a championship defense by any stretch.

Judon is the type of guy you build around, not Uche.

Slater says no retirement decision made. He’s pissed over ST performance today as one would expect.
I’d take the old guy back for another year if he wants…not so much on Dmac…too expensive for his current ability level.

Thanks.

If fans want to say BB sucks now, fine.

Saying BB always sucked. Can't abide....
Now? It's been all year, haha.

(To clarify, that posters have been saying it, not me.)

They don’t grow on trees.
It hurts and will for a long time we were in on that Diggs trade.

This. Holding the Bills offense to 21 points is a victory. Can't ask for much more.

Speaking of the Bills, I am not so sure they beat Miami next week. I think there is a legit chance they get beat if Tua is playing.

25-25 in 3 seasons without Brady and missed the playoffs twice. That ain’t going to cut it. Hand Fatt Patricia his walking papers in the offseason, fix the tackle positions, and find a #1 WR.
What sucks most is D and ST are the things least affected by Bradys departure and are the units that should be our strength while we develop a young QB so he doesn't have to put up 30 points a game to win. We've been seriously lacking there

You seriously want to let BB go ? who would you want ? Any new guy will take another 2-3 yrs to rebuild and who is it ? Vrabel just lost 7 in a row and hasnt won a playoff game in 2 yrs but BB is the one on the hot seat.

I said "IF" he doesn't change his coaching structure.

And if I did have to choose someone, I would go after Sean Payton to atleast turn the offense around.

Trade Smith as I think that lessens the hit a little bit

The team was flawed and the whole OC situation was a mess. i expected them to be blown out today but they competed the heck all game. Its just unreal that we are out of the playoffs due to lateralling in tie game in the last secods and fumbling the ball at the 5 yard line with under a min to go.

25-26, you forgot the playoff blowout in buffalo
