Agree
Looked like a minimal O game plan by Buffalo
And Allen just tossed TD bombs anytime NE felt empowered with hope
I think our defense made him look bad....Allen is very difficult to defend. Our defense played it's rear end off.

I wonder if Kraft has the balls to let Belichick go if he wants to retain his current coaching staff.
Unlikely. I think Bill knows Matt needs to be moved, and they played well enough defensively that he should stick up for those guys. But if he's not willing to make a change offensively, then I think that might be an issue.

You seriously want to let BB go ? who would you want ? Any new guy will take another 2-3 yrs to rebuild and who is it ? Vrabel just lost 7 in a row and hasnt won a playoff game in 2 yrs but BB is the one on the hot seat.

Except we have to decide whether or not to offer him an extension or let him play on the final year of his deal.
Interesting, because I was just talking about this to Barth, we have Onwenu, Uche and Dugger all coming up at the same time, in what order do you want to prioritize?

how about the game we were robbed by the officials agains the Raiders or the one where we were going in for the win against Cincy when Rham fumbled? Those are two tough losses imo
That’s my point exactly…hard to blame a coach for either of those. But that Bears game the team was totally unprepared and got smoked.

It's not even derailment imo.

The fact of the matter is that most people would not have expected the Pats to miss the playoffs 2 out of 3 times since 2020.
Sure and I have me thoughts on it too, but this isn't the thread to bring TB12 vs BB up

I think they'll look at it big-picture-wise and not in a vacuum. They lost today because they didn't have Jack Jones and were horribly thin in the secondary. Gotta continue adding depth there so that you're not counting on Myles Bryant with the season on the line.

Bill made comments on the radio weeks back that seemed to say he will replace Patricia but couldn't do it mid-season, then walked that back a couple days later because it most likely undermined Patricia's ability to do his job for the rest of this year.

Pats are in a tough spot right now. They are a 8 to 10 win caliber team and it’s tough to draft elite players from the middle of the draft. They’ll never bottom out as long as BB is here. Mediocrity isn’t great in the NFL.

Well, at least Thornton made his usual (1) reception….., And don’t you miss the days when our punter/kickoff specialist used to kick off though the end zone nearly every time?

I'd extend him. Not huge money but hopefully provides a lifetime of financial security

With how bad our OL pipeline is right now I'd have to think that Onwenu has to be the highest priority of those three but we'd ideally keep them all.

Someone kidnapped Matt Patricia before the game. Should have done that months ago! The team has talent and today they showed heart. But special teams, Allen's insane deep ball and Nelson Agholor were too big a handicap.

Go Pats!
That must haven a really expensive fat suit. Maybe a blow up sumo suit?

Rough end. Hope we see some dysfunction removed starting next year. I guess the season mirrored my ****ty personal life this year, but this team is still always here for me. Here's to a better 2023 - Go Pats!

Personally I would try to extend Onwenu first and foremost, then see if you can extend Uche on a lower deal since he's only flashed for one season. If that doesn't appear possible then make him produce for a second season. Dugger is a tough one, he's good but not a "complete" safety. I'd probably let him hit free agency and try to match what he gets, safety contracts are generally not super pricey.

New coach, new draft, new system. Move on now.
