Curran Believes Jones is 'Making an Enemy' Out of Belichick

True. I honestly was kinda hoping that in the 2020 season we just lost most of our first half games and Bill would see the writing on the wall and play for next year. We were 2-5 at one point. Then we got a meaningless win vs a 2 win Jets team and then the weather helped them beat Baltimore, which basically got them back near .500 and gave them enough hope to beat the Jets again and 2 more bottomfeeders to get 7 wins and appear middle of the pack which set us halfway through the draft despite losing 3 straight.

Yep, 2020 should've been the season to take advantage of any & every opportunity to deal players not part of the Future at the trade deadline... Bill might've received a fair price for McCourty, and Without Question would've received more for Gilmour then than he received for him later...

I said the same thing DURING the 2020 season. I’m pretty sure a lot of us did. What a waste.

Yeah I remember... Even after that "victory" vs the Jete at Exit 16-W, Bill still should've been a Sell, Sell, Seller at the deadline later that week.

This isn’t baseball, my man. In my 22 years of watching the NFL, I can’t recall a single instance of a “fire sale.” In fact, there’s hardly any trades at all. Football isn’t a sport that lends itself to just being able to join a team in the middle of the season and be effective. Plus, most NFL teams (certainly the ones that are competitive) don’t have the cap space to just be able to absorb a big player salary in the middle of the season.

Bottom line, these fire sales in the NFL aren’t a thing.

We can sit here and says the OC sucks but the Oc isn’t making Mac miss wide open targets, or not go to his second or even third read the instances where he has had time.
The OC isn’t telling Mac to forget his mechanics and throw like he never played any organized football and the OC isn’t making Mac eat sacks vs throwing the ball away.

I said it before whether is bothering Mac is it’s mental and emotional less than it is physical.
My honest belief is this.

Mac- doesn’t like Patricia’s play calling or trust him has a rough start to the season gets hurt.

Zappe- fills in plays well enough to be a concern to Mac Mac reads the papers sees the fan columns see people wanting Zappe In.

Max goes Oh God I can’t ride the Bench again like I did in Alabama this is my team and now he’s constantly thinking about one int here and I could be pulled so he would rather have a negative play or a play for short yardage than a possible INT.
Doesn’t want to fight for yards on runs cause he doesn’t want an injury to take his dream from him.
He is so stressed and in his own head that he makes sure when he makes mistakes he shows he is upset at Matt cause he sees it as one of them must go.
And if the media sees how upset I am about the call they will overlook I didn’t see the open guy or I completely threw off target.

Sprinkle in that Mac doesn’t trust the plays the line or that his coaches have his best interests in mind and it’s a recipe for a offensive disaster.

Take the rosey glasses off any other team that finishes bottom 3 in passing and red zone what happens the next season.

The play caller, the QB, the head coach one or more than one won’t be back.
So let’s say Bill is safe, that leads Matt and or Mac both being gone.
Bill has already said that he won’t change the play caller this late in the season.
If Patricia keeps calling plays and Zappe plays the last or part of the last few games and the offense is in sync and scores points let’s say with top half of the league.
That could save Patricia’s Job.
It will be interesting as heck to see what Rob and Bill does at the end of the season and I would love to be a fly on the wall in that room during end of season evaluation.

This free agency Bill better not be riding on a train sleeping on Linda or fishing he better be at a players house playing a radio over his head with flowers and giant bag of cash.
Your points speak to the failure of the QB coach. You know, the one with the stellar record with Daniel Jones. And that speaks to Belichick who put him in that position.

Pretty damning assessment of Zappe if Bill hasn’t replaced Mac for him yet. BB clearly doesn’t think Zappe is the better option as he only does what is best for the team and in Bill we trust.
We?? Speak for yourself.

I think it’s best to send Bourne packing after the season.

I’d rather send the fat tub of lard packing. Give him a gift card to Golden Corral and wish him luck in his future endeavors.
He will never work in the league again.
As long as BB is coach here he will have a spot somewhere.
I’m thinking defensive assistant or quality control.

The sharks are circling both Patricia and Mac I hope Robert is pissed and ready to open up the paycheck to not just improve the talent but the coordinators as well.

I hope he had his stakes and hammer to kill the vampires. BeliJones must be extirpated.

Truth be told Robert is engaged by his shiksa delish milf new wife.

Jonathan is probably leaving voicemails.

Cmon guys, we knew once Brady left there would be a transition period of 3-4 years. You guys are ready to blow it up for one bad year, that's a spoiled fanbase. I don't want MP back next year as OC but lets give Bill some time to get things back on track. The former players voicing their opinion is just noise and I don't give them any weight, even tubby Wilfork.

More about BB and Patricia than Mac. Mac and Bourne were dead on last year.

Bourne liked a tweet that read: "I know this play was awful all around but Mac Jones' effort trying to tackle Chandler Jones is really unacceptable. It doesn't matter if he's a QB or not. He's a football player. He should've done everything he could to bring him down but he just... falls?"

So what you're really saying is that you think it's more about BB and Patricia than Mac, but you certainly can't speak for Bourne. The reality is that Bourne liked the tweet quoted above. I guess people can reach whatever conclusion they want based on that.
