I'm suprised at the 64% chances had we won today. Did the oddsmakers think we're actually winning more than one of the Bengals / Dolphins / Bills, if any? Before today I was thinking 9-8 best case scenario. Now, I shudder to think

Miami doesn’t need to lose out, they just need to go 1-2 against Green Bay, New England, NY Jets. Patriots need to go 2-1 with one of the wins being against Miami. Not crazy to imagine the Jets playing hard in the final week with an outside shot at a playoff spot, and Bills may rest starters in final week. It’s entirely possible but a lot less probable than it was with a win today.

I think a few other games need to fall the Pats way, too, with them going 2-1 and Miami going 1-2, in order for the Pats to get in.

But yeah, the gist is that if the Pats finish 3-0, they're in. If they finish 2-1, they need some results to fall their way with the Dolphins, Jets, and Chargers. If they take the route of going 2-1, that one loss cannot be to Miami.

This team invents ways to lose. I am speechless.

Curious if anyone thinks Patricia might have been stripped of some power the last few weeks and that Judges seems to be at a minimum babysitting him now if not outright calling the plays through him?

He seems to be more involved in game day ops that most of the season and I wonder if that's why all the sudden getting plays called in on time has been a problem. Takes a few extra seconds with a third person if not fourth counting Bill envolved.

Don’t know about that but he should at least have the wins record and he doesn’t yet.

The all-time wins record that BB is very likely to eclipse in another 2-4 seasons? Or is this another one of those "record without Brady" talking points?

The way in which people use Brady's presence to undermine/diminish BB's role in the team's success is ridiculous. It's not one or the other, it's not either/or, and it's not like BB's involvement was irrelevant so long as Brady was here (or vice versa). Ludicrous.

Having an elite QB makes a coach's job easier; it does not make a bad coach a good one. Having an elite QB does not guarantee a team 9 Super Bowl appearances and 6 Super Bowl victories over a two decade span, without consistently really high quality coaching paired with that elite QB. (See: Drew Brees and Sean Payton. Peyton Manning and Tony Dungy. Aaron Rodgers and McCarthy/LaFleur. Etc, etc, etc).

... and, by the way, a player or coach struggling at one point in time, does not mean they were not successful (or won't be successful) at another point in time, past or future.

Just finished the game cuz I had to wait for the replay.

Last raiders TD was incomplete, but we deserved to lose. "Situational football?"

Oof, that's a rough one

Why did the NFL rob Uche of a 1/2 sack? He had full sack during the game, now it's only a 1/2 sack.

BB is a defenseive mastermind for sure and Tom Brady is an offensive savant, so I think I would have to agree with you there.
I have to add something Brady made everyone around him better, he had this will to win to never accept defeat which he imbued to his team mates. Its an intangible that only a few have.

The one on the second to final series
Meh it's to late now. I'd have to go back and watch the game again. But the overall impression u came away with, was Mac was not accurate tonight and missed a lot of open reads.

BTW we have goal line cameras (thanks to BB), but no sideline cameras? It's a joke.

Another thing overshadowed was our offensive series right before the Raiders game tying TD drive, after our defense had made yet another stop when up 7. Absolutely cowardly and pathetic. Literally one first down ends the game and they just sat on the ball .

10-7 they were a lock if one of the wins was Miami

Bill is definitely an all time great coach. if he stopped coaching today - is he the greatest of all time right now? There are arguments for and against it and that’s one argument against it. I would think the greatest has won the most.
