Can the linemen serve as receiving options ?

Yes, but they need to inform the ref prior to the snap. We did this vs. the Ravens back in 2014....Edelman had to stay on the LOS as an ineligible receiver while an OL-man ran a route.

In fact, I think that is now illegal somehow after Harbaugh and Co. complained to the competition committee......I forget the details...

How did penei Sewell catch the reception then ?

Declaring an O-lineman to be eligible is still allowed. I think they disallowed the flip side, declaring a RB or WR to be ineligible.

He reported as an eligible receiver. See below. (Not exactly sure what rule was changed by the competition committee, but think it had something to do with how we announced it).

Oh bwoy Skippy marked this game on his calendar.

They were 1-3 with Waller in the lineup and 1-5 with Renfrow. The 1 win with Waller was against the Texans and the 1 win with Renfrow was against the Broncos.

Also doesn't mean they'll play, it's just starting the clock for them (21 days). I mean this week was really the last week you can designate someone if you aren't a playoff team. It's Week 15, there's 18 weeks.

They'll play.

How about we line up 6 receivers and all well spaced with linemen next to each receiver and make Mac go few steps back during snap . Invite the defense for a free pass at QB . So DT and NT will not have a job outside of just rushing whilst our offensive lineman will be blocking and pushing cb / safeties who is next to a receiver so that we can get more yac . Say having strange push CB or safeties next to Jonnu after a quick pass .

Again I have never played football so just throwing out some random thoughts .

Teams will know it's a short pass but don't know where Mac will throw and will be overpowered from coverage standpoint because we would have 2 or 3 people clearing way for a pass catcher instead of RB. So every throw will be closer to 8 yards with great difficulty for opposing cornerbacks to deflect it.
Should definitely help as you would be playing 12 against 11

Record wise we are the better Team and is still playing for something they are almost eliminated I think. May the better Team win!

Can C Barmore come off IR anytime?

BB marked the Raiders off on his calendar too.
