Let's see how many people trip over them self saying it's not Bills or Mac's fault and that were still in good shape going forward for the season.

This is a really bad team.
Yup, season is over. Coaches are bad. The players they coach can’t execute. Mac Jones is not the guy. And wtf, does Judon disappear in the second half of seasons?

But Stevenson is good so he’s someone to build around. But I’ve had enough of watching Mac try and fail. I’d rather they go back to Zappe. This way if they fail we know they went down trying. Sticking with Mac after the bye pretty much waved the white flag.

And I don’t wanna hear people mention is wonderful game last week. He lost. He choked at the goal to end the first half. Made stupid qb sneak calls and then disappeared after the third quarter.

I’m so pissed that BB went back to Jones before we could find out what Zappe was made of. Will he ever be a star? Doubtful. But he was the hot hand and BB sat him for the statue Jones

Okay done rant

Maybe Patricia isn't the best offensive coordinator but let's be honest Jones isn't good enough to be yelling at him.

if he is the QB trying to win, and he knows something is not working. He has every right to vent. That is the problem with this team as well. BB wants a bunch of "yes" man and not enough people pushing back. f that. That type of thought process is messing with these players lively hood.

There were MANY on this board who completely saw this coming after the draft but also when BB stubbornly refused to get experienced coaches and insisted on strange draft picks.
Some of the moderators on this board will dish out negative comments to anyone who dares to question "in Bill we trust" and even go so far as to censor critical opinions of the team. There are even homers who launch personal insults against anyone who does not have blind faith in the Patriots organization and dares to criticize the "infallible coaches"

Tonight was simply a confirmation of what was clear as early as March.
It is time to blow it up and yes even bring in a new coaching and player evaluation staff.

To any homers or mods who plan on launching the inevitable irrational insults.....get yourself some help.
I think the problems are a little different. You never want to overreact over a loss, but if things continue and changes aren't made - and serious changes - with the offensive coaching staff this offseason, then I think Belichick would end up in the crosshairs.

It's pretty sad when your best player is a freaking RB in today's NFL.

The more I watch the more I think Mac needs a good system first then adjustments not week to week adjustments. And some OT help desperately

I am going to stop trashing Matt Patricia, the offensive coordinator. for a second. Can we trash Matt Patricia, the offensive line coach?
They both arent to blame. They werent put in this spot themselves. Put this on BB on dropping the ball. not only having him do both but also changing the offense which was working last yr for mac well.

Jones and the receivers are about the same level. Some bright flashes, but still inconsistencies.

Here's the ultimate issue, Patricia sucks SO MUCH that I'm now convinced if he drafted Josh Allen, we would be perpetually stuck in year 2 version of Josh Allen who was on the verge of losing his job and ultimately would be giving up on him as well. Aside from the offensive line which is objectively a mess, I don't even know how much I can fairly put on the skill players because the OC is just too inept to think they have any shot at suceeding.

i completely agree.

Nope McDaniels know situational football and knew how to get his team into rhythm as a coordinator. He's probably a bad HC, though LV is a pretty bad team talent wise. They have like 5 really talented players, and then a bunch of junk right after that. However, it's pretty indisputable that he was worth thousand whatever Patricia is as an OC.

He knew what an offense needed to get it going, when to tighten the reigns, when to loosen them, how to get them in a consistent rhythm, how to dictate game tempo, how to gameplan and attack weaknesses, and didn't screw up situational football. We were always money in end of half offensive drives. We didn't waste two timeouts because we called dumb plays
Derek Carr will carve up this piss poor defense

I see the Patriots absolute ceiling 8 wins now, it's over.

Those who say Mac is failing because of the OL (don't disagree necessarily), please tell me where I am wrong here....

Mac appears to need a clean pocket to be a successful QB. When the play breaks down, he is not good. True?

Zappe is clearly superior to Mac in 2 areas: pocket mobility/elusivity and being quicker to find a 2nd option. True. No courtesy question mark.

So, wouldn't logic say Zappe is better equipped to find success with a shyt OL????

Once we surround the QB with studs at every position like Alabama, we put Mac back in!

Matt isn’t going anywhere unless Kraft steps in and forces bills hands.

Your Boy Wac Jones should not Start another game he's not a good player. Zappe looked real good with Fat Matt.

Possibly, but they at least didn't completely roll over and I wouldn't have blamed them with how our offense played. They basically went out there without a chance anyways because even if they held the Bills to 14 they would have lost
They gave up a 96 yard drive for a TD. Buffalo dominated TOP. It was a much bigger blowout than the score shows.

We know what we have in Mac not much: let's see what we have in Zappe.
