Incorrect. The ball can touch the ground AND can move. Often you hear people say it can't but that's not the rule.
Thats not how the rule has been enforced.

Ive seen numerous catches ruled incomplete after the WR failed to maintain control of the ball AFTER it touched the ground, If the ball does not touch the ground it can bounce and bobble until the Receiver or DB firmly has the ball in his grasp. The ball can touch the ground AND the Receiver can have possession, but you must maintain possession to the play is over.

If Henry did not bobble the ball its a TD.

They played maybe the worst pass defense in the league. Mac will put us in the NFL purgatory of .500 teams. You can win games with him but he will never put us over the hump.

I fully expect Mac and the offense to revert to having trouble to score 10 points when we will faced a better defense that this because Minnesota defense stinks.

Where was Mac and the offense in the 4th when the game was on the line? Good QB find a way to make plays to win the game.

It’s trouble some when you realize that Zack Wilson who is maybe the worst QB in the league has more 4th quarter TD winning drive than Mac.
You may be right, too early to tell. Mac showed promise as a rookie and has looked better the last few games. We know less about Zappe, the team needs to find out if Mac can develop before changing direction. My biggest concern is that we do not have a true QB. Zappe has shown the same tendencies as Mac. He looked great against the weaker defenses of the Browns and Lions, OK against mid tier Packers, and not effective against the Bears after they adjusted. The good news is that both seem like hard working, team oriented players who know that success needs to be earned.

If the ball didn't touch the ground it is a catch at the one-half yard line.

Most QB's look great against weaker defenses. That's why they're the weaker defenses.

You people still on this Zappe train after it derailed so expectedly against Chicago are a special kind of passenger.
what? if the zappe hype train rolls in, you better get of the track asap

One half of struggles (as a rookie) entirely derails and effectively ends a player’s career, eliminating any possibility of improvement and future success?

If that was true, there wouldn’t be a single successful player in the NFL.

No his extremely limited ability derailed his possibility of being a starting quarterback in the NFL. It’s just cute seeing his fan boys keep the hope alive. Especially after the game Mac just had.

The Pats will be forced to pull Mac if he is stalling out drives vs Buffalo. A sack is better than an INT, but its still awful ineffective football.

Must win game for the team and if a change at QB must be made so be it.

The 31st ranked pass defense is not coming to town next Thursday.

The Bills will pressure Jones and not allow him to have all the time he wants like the Vikings did.

You were probably miserable watching the game on Thursday as the offense was looking good, Mac was dealing and only finally found joy as they fell short at the end of the game.

Can you believe mac got sacked 3 times on 42 dropbacks vs. a DL with za’darius smith & danielle hunter when ferentz & cajuste were in the lineup? What a bum!

The anti-mac takes are hilarious after he had the second best game of any qb vs. the vikings this season. By any stat, advanced metric, pff grade he had a great game this week.
