Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I haven’t thought about the corners recently. They actually not injured?
The whole team is getting healthy. Gage is the only key player yet to come back that I can think of.

Eagles shouldn't be that far ahead of the Vikings or Bucs. It's time for people to start taking the Vikings seriously. The Bucs if healthy have the quarterback and roster to win the Super Bowl. Baltimore needs a better supporting cast around Jackson to complete with KC or Buffalo.

I wonder if Chicago dismantles their defense at the trade deadline with the way Fields is playing now?

If Julio stays relatively healthy by some miracle then we're taking about the 4th WR here. That said, a healthy Gage would get no-hands Miller off the field. Really Otton and White should be getting more targets than whichever 4th WR at this point.

Trade deadline was 15 days ago.

Also if Godwin can return to form as well in time for the postseason that would be huge too.

Can someone explain to me how the 2-7 Raiders are above the 7-2 Giants.

If I was betting I wouldn't want to bet on the Raiders over the Texans at this point.

In the last 3 weeks they lost 24-0 to the Saints, to the Jaguars, and to the Colts(somehow ranked lower than them with 2 more wins) with a HS coach.

I know. And Chicago already dismantled their defense. The question I'm asking is in consideration of how well Fields is now playing would they have still made those trades? Starting with the Monday night match with the Patriots, the Bears are scoring 31 points per game. Their defense was playing pretty well to that point in the season but since they traded away Roquan Smith and Robert Quinn they're allowing 38 points per game. Fields may become the NFC's Lamar Jackson but he's desperately in need of some receivers... he may have the worst group in the NFL. Now their defense is garbage, so I'm not sure what their plan is.

Linval Joseph isn’t the only DT the @Eagles talked to this week, they are also have been in talks with Ndamukong Suh this week about potentially signing in Philly.

Great signing for the Eagles

Yeah..... I still don't get why the Bucs couldn't work out something to bring him back for this season. Maybe the money terms on this deal with explain it.

They blew money on Julio Jones and Russel Gage.

That list is hilariously bad. Vikings are definitely a tier above the Dolphins, Chargers and Packers. And they're playing a lot better than the Bucs. 49ers seem too high as well.

They blew money on Julio Jones and Russel Gage.

But they're currently about $3m under the cap, so they had at least some money to play with, even before any restructuring options.

BTW, this should help with the salary cap next year:

Hmm I didn't realize that. I really have no idea what Licht is smoking this year.

The speculation was Suh was asking too much, but they dropped enough hints last season that they wanted to get younger and faster at DT even after his spectacular performance in their playoff loss to the Rams. Due to such a late signing, imo I don't think Suh signed for much.

Gage isn’t blown money forcing him out there on one leg is another story. All they had to do was IR him start 2-2 and have a great healthy player but no they wanted to get a guy who couldn’t move one leg onto the field
