Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

He looked focused in comparison to previous weeks. It seemed like it was one read and dump before, but you saw him work the defense well this game. Hopefully the playmakers step up their game as well.

Some of those throws had a high degree of difficulty yet he makes them look easy. He's still elite.

Not really sure why you're on this kick...

Well I can be honest about that. I’m coping to try and pretend that the Bucs losing an important player won’t hurt them that badly.

Was Shaq Barrett really not that important?
Except for the elite edge rushers like Von Miller, they don't consistently make a huge impact. Even a very good edge like Barrett only make an impact every third game imo.

But he'll be sorely missed in the playoffs against better teams and QBs.

I get that he was trying to come to the defense of his hand-chosen OC, but Arians picked the wrong time to call out Brady for allegedly bad play. Behind that OL, and with the M*A*S*H unit that has been the receiving corps, TB12's still leading the league in INT percentage and sack percentage.
Every time I miss Arians, he comes out of the woodwork to remind us that he's also a clown with a big mouth.

His tribal BS comments can only hurt the team, not help them. It may do nothing but there is only downside to saying stuff like that. I wish Brady would tell him to just stfu.

My early Brady prediction for 2023:

If Brady finishes strong and a deep playoff run:
1) Bucs will go all in to attract Brady back.
2) Raiders will try their best and would trade Carr to the Bucs.
3) Retirement
4) 49rs. I just don't see them being that interested.

If Brady shows a clear decline and an early playoff exit.
1) Retirement
2) Raiders, McDaniels might be desperate to get him
3) Bucs, they have too many veterans in their prime signed for 2023, so they still need a veteran QB to compete.

Brady will play next year. I am more sure than ever considering the stuff with Giselle being over and Brady seemingly looking like he’s alive again.

But where he’ll go who knows.

The Dolphins are definitely off the table now.

Vegas would check a lot of boxes but who knows how close that relationship with Josh is if he indeed gets a second season as the coach. Also that’s still a hell division even if Russell Wilson is completely shot.

The 49ers are THE storybook ending, going home to a stacked team in a trash division in a trash conference. And Jimmy is obviously going to be out of there. This is the ideal scenario in my opinion. But will that stupid coach and stupid GM now triple down on passing over the chance to have Brady? I think they will because of Lance and how much they put into that miserably stupid pick.

And that leaves staying in Tampa. I think that’s the second best situation for him, behind the 49ers, because the roster is still real damn good on both sides of the ball. But I don’t know if Brady is now cool with Tampa now that his home life is settled or if he still wants out of that place due to the coaches/front office.

So yeah I legitimately can’t wait for Brady Watch 2023.

Remaining in Tampa Bay isn't off the table but it's pretty clear that he wanted out of there prior to this season.

Las Vegas is a possible landing spot but that team is a mess right now and they're in a tough division. Not sure Brady wants to go head-to-head with both Mahomes and Herbert. Plus the Raiders don't have any depth at WR and their defense sucks.

The ideal spot for Brady is in San Francisco. This is a no brainer. The team has absolutely everything except for a championship caliber quarterback. This I believe would be Brady's top choice by far.

It'll never happen but Brady could do some damage with the Patriots current roster. If you plugged Brady into that lineup right now then they would win the division. With Mac they'll be fighting for the last wild card spot and a quick exit from the postseason at best.

Darkhorse landing spots for Brady... Detroit, New Orleans and LAR.

Cap jail isn’t a real thing BUT the Saints are uhhhh not doing well with financial flexibility because at some point a part of the bill does come due after essentially refinancing for 5 straight years. Also bad coach and not a great team.

Rams are interesting if Stafford retired I guess but why would he?

And lmfao did you really say Detroit? Detroit? Really?

Unlikely but the odds of a NE reunion are not zero if the team decides to cut bait on Mac. BB and Brady seem to be on as good terms as they’ve been in years. For all we know Gisele could have orchestrated Brady’s exit here and she’s out of the picture now. And how badly does BB want Shula’s record? Will Kraft tell Bill to bring him back? Hmmm

His home life isn't settled. He's go co-custody of the kids. I don't see a scenario where he leaves Florida, where his kids will live part time w/ Gisele. He either stays in Tampa (<1 hr from MIA) or goes to Fox. Even if he works out of NY for Fox, I'm sure they'll accomodate his schedule around his family life.

And lmfao did you really say Detroit? Detroit? Really?
It's a darkhorse... I'm not putting favorable odds on it.

Firstly they have to get rid of that buffoon Dan Campbell, which shouldn't be a difficult decision. Then they need to go after Sean Payton. Or tell Brady he can essentially pick the head coach... maybe he brings Leftwich along for the ride.

Their offense is stacked with young talent at all positions. And they have Jameson Williams yet to make his highly anticipated NFL debut. I'll take their roster (on offense) over the Bucs roster. Their defense is a problem and possibly bad enough where Brady would think he couldn't win a Super Bowl there. If that were the case then he wouldn't even consider it. He's not going anywhere that he doesn't consider championship ready (with the addition of him at quarterback). Again, SF is the perfect spot... unless they win the SB this season, in which case they won't be chasing after a 46-year-old quarterback to put them over the top.

Bucs linebacker Devin White has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week after getting two sacks and a crucial forced fumble in Tampa Bay's win over the Seahawks in Munich.

An analysis of cell phone data of 76000 people who were around the Allianz Arena in Munich before, during and after the NFL game showed that 23% of the spectators came from abroad (9.6% from the USA, 4% each from the UK & Austria). Accordingly, 77% were from Germany.

I haven’t thought about the corners recently. They actually not injured?

Julio & Hicks make a big difference on the team. If they can both stay healthy somehow, the Bucs have a chance to go deep in the playoffs.
