OT: Reich Fired

The worst thing McDaniels did is agree to take over a playoff team.

You're better off taking over a loser, trading away the players who refuse to play team ball, then building it back up from the bottom.

Right now McD has a bunch of players who have no faith in the system. You can see it especially on defense as so many of the players are out of position, lost and heartless.

Don't do it like Joe Judge either where you go into a situation, and there are already coordinators on staff who are going to do it their way. The HC needs to own it. NFL owners who force coaches to prove themselves while the owners still hold the reins are their own worst enemies.

The best way to do it is the way Matt Patricia did. Go to a loser. Trade away the guys who have value but who clearly have no interest in a new style of play. Build it back up. Problem is, the players hated Patricia!!!

Of the 3 types of rebuilds, I'd go with Detroit each and every time.

The Lions were 9-7 the two years before Fatt Matt got there and made the playoffs one of those years. His record was 13-29-1 when he was fired. He made the same mistake Josh did in going to a winning team.

Good point.

There's a difference though.

Patricia sent a lot of vets away, like Darius Slay, Quandre Diggs, Harrison, he brought in a lot of Patriots, like Flowers, Jamie Collins, Justin Coleman, several others

I can't believe how bad they are this year. They were my dark horse to compete for the Conference. Now they aren't even competing for a Wild Card. I totally swung and missed with them this year.

It's pretty clear at this point that McDaniels doesn't have what it takes to be a HC.

Ex-Broncos star shares damning criticism of Josh McDaniels as HC

I'm not taking Marshall's word on anything.

Why would anyone given this guy's troubles? His entire act?
He's not the only one reporting trouble in the locker room, just the former player who's gone public with it. But I'd say the results make it pretty obvious.

He's been public for a long time against him. Then he went to Miami and caused trouble. Marshall was a trouble maker wherever he went. Did not take to coaching.

But did you listen to the Raiders players yesterday? Davante Adams is clear there are players there who refuse to follow coaching instruction.

The Real problem was, is that Phatt Matt's a ****ing arrogant, entitled ****ing ass-hole.
