Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

9-8 will easily be enough to win the division and Bucs are better positioned than the rest of the bad teams in the division to do it.

So now that the 100k yards passing has been done, what's next for Brady?

Cade Otton was added to his record number of receivers who caught a TD. Whatever that is.

He finally got a 4th quarter comeback after getting close 3 times I think. He's very close to tieing Manning.
Otton was the 95th different receiver to catch a TD pass from Brady. There's still Kieft, White, Darden & Rudolph, so he could get to 99. Testaverde had 70 but played for 7 different teams. Tom passed him in 2018 having played for just 1 team at the time. As a Patriot he threw to 78 different receivers in 20 years (3.9/yr). As a Buc he's hit 17 different receivers in 2.5 years (6.8/yr). I find this graph fascinating (before start of '22).

Brady took the lead from Manning on GWD & tied him on 4QC.

Bucs WR had 6 drops today??? Wow I missed it I was following along the ESPN Gamecast. So all I would see is incomplete lol
This was one of the few games I was able to watch. Not only were there a bunch of drops, there were a bunch of pressures resulting in throwaway to WR feets, and a few pass breakups.

There weren't many bad throws. I always look for those to see if there is a hint of injury or decline.

Until that last drive, I was thinking what more can he do. The throws were good, but the blocking, running, catching, and play calls were bad.

Even with how it ended I'm sure TB12 just wishes BB was the coach of TB right about now. You can't have players put OCs and other players in their place, it has to come from the HC. Guys like Evans are untouchable to that franchise but they need to get their **** together. They call the guy tough but he gets hurt on every catch and then comes back in after a missed play or 2. Devin White would get fed to Bill's dog.

I was rooting for Matt Ryan as a contemporary to Tom Brady. What the Colts did to him stinks and indicative of their lack of class. They showed no loyalty to Manning and they let Luck get destroyed.

They were .500 when they benched Ryan and were still in the thick of it. Now 2 losses later, their blowing it all up lol.

Smells like ownership tanking for some QB and we know they've done this before. They should release Ryan and let his contract clear waivers to see if someone would give him a real chance.

Matt Ryan reportedly was showing decline in pocket mobility and arm strength so he may not have much to offer another franchise. Indy's entire offense has been a disaster all season and now reportedly Irsay is all-in on Ehlinger, which can only mean one thing, he's tanking the season.

For all the complaining from posters in this thread about the Bucs non-player personnel, at least the Bucs don't have Irsay.

BTW, for those who still want to insist on the "Brady = decline/bad" angle, take a look at what's happening with other QBs in the league. Mac Jones and Aaron Rodgers are playing behind bad lines, and they're struggling. Tua is playing with much improved receiver talent, and he's thriving. Daniel Jones is playing with a healthy top end RB, and for a coach who at least knows how to handle QBs, and he's having a better season. Jalen Hurts is now playing with a top level OL and high end receiving talent, and he's playing well and unbeaten. Etc...

The line will get better as the season goes on with leverette but the main problem is Dumbass Leftwich. He makes play calls to create short 3rd downs instead of going for first downs. Case in point when white would run for 4-5 yds on first down and that clown would make that exact same call on second down

Whomever made the decision to keep Goedeke in at LG over Leverett needs to be fired

And to think Goedeke would still be starting if he didn’t get hurt

Despite 6 WR drops, the last being perennial tease Miller's drop of an easy end zone game winning TD, TFB drove for a game winning TD with 45 seconds left on the clock and no TOs. THAT is why I watch the Tamper games!!! Foolish to miss the greatest QB ever's games.
The only thing that bothers me when I watch The Brady Way is that he should still be wearing a Pats uniform. The fact that he won't get to retire from the Pats but Baldichick will is disgusting.

Indy has a history of tanking and hiring Jeff Saturday as a HC pretty much assures that they are this year too.

You might get your wishes next year. A reunion is not out of the question in my opinion.

Bill and Brady have been glowing at each other recently and apparently Brady’s son Jack is going to school in western mass next year and Brady is rumored to be looking to buy a house in the region.

I am still convinced that one of the driving factor for him leaving was Gisele. Now that he is single again, I wouldn’t rule out a come back

Is it really a surprise?

Given what Brady has seen in Leftwich/Bowles this year and BB has seen in Jones.

I don't believe Brady wants anything to do with New England... the team or the region. He's all set with Belichick and the winters. Brady seems more likely than pre-divorce to continue playing but that decision and possibly where will still depend on how the rest of the current seasons goes.

I really don't think Belichick can go back to Brady at this point either. From a legacy standpoint I think it's important to Belichick to win without Brady. How's he going to look if the Patriots settle into 3rd or 4th place in the division and then he has to bring Brady back to be relevant again? He's going to look like what is he... a head coach who never won anything without the GOAT quarterback. Belichick is too stubborn, prideful and self-aggrandizing for that.
