Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Looking at the last two games, it's not just mobility, it's that a fair number of his throws are coming up short. I can buy the talk that he's got some sort of shoulder injury that he's not disclosing.
Maybe. He'll still drop dimes to WRs so perhaps it's causing lots of inconsistency. On the other hand, I can tell he's often frustrated with how some WRs ran their routes. Reminds me of 2013 Brady. He's anticipating something but the WR doesn't do it. Keep in mind that situationally, he's always thrown it a bit lower to protect the WR and reduce the odds of an INT/tipped pass.

Agreed.
Entire passing offense a hot mess of missed coordination.
Add in zero run game and you have a scoring disaster.

The past three games he's been bad by his standards. I would give his overall play a C- for the season

When has overall mobility ever mattered for Brady? If it's just shifting around in the pocket, I don't see how you could point to any noticeable drop off. He looks the same as the last couple years (SB and MVP tier season).

Mobility and arm wise, Brady is still miles ahead of 2012 and 2013 Manning who broke records.

I get what you're saying. I just think his mobility has gotten worse, maybe by small degrees through the last three years but it's adding up. He dumps the ball pretty quick if the second read isn't there vs. buying at least a little more time to extend the play.

I apologize to the forum for my ill-advised taking of AB's side in 2019, etc.

That’s an insane throw with pressure coming up the middle

I thought it was illegal to go low on the QB. That tackle was about as low as you could go.

What an absolute moron, can't be reasoned with
And yet people want to interview him and hear what he has to say.
It's probably the same psychology we see when folks stop to see a horrific accident.
To borrow a quote from the father of the greatest QB who ever played, it isn't going to end well.

Here's a question. Which passing offense, the Pats or Bucs, is the hotter mess now? It could be the Pats with their too young QB or the Bucs with their too old QB. It's close.

Neither situation is the problem of age.
Yes, but the age (old GOAT vs youngsters) does factor in when we're making assessments of the entire offense. The old Buc is doing ok.
There are other questions that could determine which offense is the bigger dumpster fire.
Who has had the worst coaching? Normally I'd say the Bucs with Leftwich but I'm not so sure now. The 'my way or the highway' approach doesn't seem to be working for Patricia.
What about the linemen? Both teams seem to have injury problems but the Pats have less and the superior running game.
Since we're almost halfway through the season maybe we can get a feel for the SOS's for each team. The Bucs had it tougher, 13 to 29.
It still seems like a tossup.

Oh my god the Panthers missed an XP to win against the Falcons and make the entire division 3-5. It’s going to OT.
