By the numbers: Patricia's offense downright offensive

Offense put up 26 despite turning the ball over four times. Not going to blame the coaches for that.

375 yards last week, 450 yards this week but ya I guess offensive play calling is the the single biggest problem and not the mental blunders from the offensive players themselves (Jones INTs, WR not running the audible route, OL getting penalties that make it 3rd and 12 instead of 3rd and 2, guys getting balls punched out after big gains) are committing.

You do realize most of BB draft picks the last few seasons are no longer here?

This rebuild started the min BB let Brady walk. Although that marriage had to come to an end. There was no "next up" they picked up Cam Newton late the following season than drafted Mac the season after that and let go Cam right before the season started(which was smart). And this season they are going with a "learn on the job" offensive coordinator and game plan...

It's ok to root for the team and have fare criticism of them. There are plenty of just red flags to talk about

What took place while Brady was here is gone now. What are you/ the Patriots doing now?
Most of the draft picks are always gone after three years, the draft is a crapshoot. I'm not thinking they have less drafted players on their roster than most teams, but it really isn't important where the players come from if you build a winning team. I have faith in the GM that has built winning rosters year after year. I don't believe in God so I might as well have faith in something.

If they had spent valuable resources again on a QB to take over for Brady while Brady was here, I think that would have been worse than figuring it out once he decided to leave. I'm glad they didn't start the rebuild while Brady was still here. Brady got to win one more SB and he can come back in a few years and wear the red jacket and then the gold one a few years later (or whatever order they like).

Red flags are fine to talk about, calling for firing of Patricia or BB after all they have accomplished and after 3 games this year seems a bit premature to me. But if people enjoy rooting for the Pats by whining about red flags, who am I to try and stop them? All I know is that this has been my favorite team since 1976 or so, and I've always enjoyed them more when I was not complaining about nitpicky things, so I'm not gonna start now.

Not all of what took place while Brady was here is gone, they still have the best football mind in the game and those banners are still hanging in the stadium.

I can't even look forward to a good draft because there player selections have stunk... I was enthused with barmore and Jones then a guard was drafted

By the way, Parker was at the podium and said they crossed signals and he ran the wrong route on that INT. Zolak is on the radio saying Parker ran the wrong route. He was supposed to be deep in the corner. He broke it inside instead and then adjusted when he saw the ball.

It was too late. That looked bad on Mac but...

Zolak thought that was NOT a bad INT, and Zolak was very willing to grill Mac on the other INTs, especially the first one underneath. Zolak said he is very concerned about Mac not seeing the underneath stuff, BUT the one in the end zone to Parker was not on Mac.
Fauria said Parker ran the wrong route too and looked confused when mac changed the play at the line.

14 years vs 3 weeks....hmmm

I don't think most teams draft picks are gone after 3 years(at least the good teams). That's a sign of bad player evaluation. And yes the draft can be a crap shoot but you need to hit on some of your picks if you expect to compete for a while.

You just can't try to fix the problem going to free agency, plus that's a more expensive route..well it can be.

They should of had a plan for when Brady was going to leave. I mean in general that would of made the most sense. You didn't have to spend valuable resources just had to plan better.

You sent Jimmy G packing..I get it, Brady didn't want him breathing down his neck plus we won another SB.

You could of also drafted L. Jackson and had him sit and wait... (Josh McDaniels wanted him..) this just an example I am given and nothing against Mac Jones.

That's not for him to do what Brady does..it at least would of been a plan that made sense...on top of the fact we ended up scheming an offense similar to what L.Jackson is doing w the Ravens when we had Cam Newton here.

By no means do i want BB to be fired but i am ok with not having Matt P. call any Xs and Os from the sidelines...

Thkx but no thkx.

I wonder if our bad drafts except the last two years can be attributed to Belichick the GM making a move that isn’t in line with the recommendations of the scouts. Like his second round busts. Recently it’s been Joe Slow Williams and, baring a miracle, Josh Uche.

Uche was a ridiculous reach considering he was a third down pass rusher who is undersized and had very few starts. A one truck pony that NFL tackles can manhandle easily.

Yea he doesn't go to pre draft workouts, I don't think he sends his scouts to much. And most times he definitely goes off of recommendations from people he is cool with in college when he drafts players..

That stuff worked when we had a elite QB and a solid coaching stuff. Those kind of things aren't working now...

Let your ego go some and do "what's best for the team.." as he like to say..

Soo why when he was released from Detroit. There wasn't anyone knocking at his door?

Mind you when Flores was let go from Miami, he got a job as the Pitt D.C. as he was also interviewing for HC jobs, Flores is also suing the NFL right now as well.

Yes Matt P. did a solid job here as a DC, I wouldn't say fantastic but that's my opinion.
I have no idea what you're saying here.

He came back to the Patriots.

Flores is NOT the Pitt DC.

How does multiple Super Bowls, shutting down historic offenses, having the #1 defense in the league, how is that NOT fantastic?

This is why I say Patriot fans are spoiled by 20 years of greatness. This is totally unrealistic to expect any better from a DC.

He was a combine wonder.

People had him in the first round.

Two playoff wins to NONE for BB since Brady left....and it's been 3 seasons so far. Brady's last season here they loss their only playoff game that season too. (If I remember correctly).

I don't think BB coaching although is great can out do his GM and decision making about buildingthis team right now. This team hasn't look great to date..and this is going back to the last few games last season and Buffalo stomping a mud hole in our butts twice!

I am not one of those fans to over think things but I am a realist. BB the GM needs to be saved from himself.
Let me say this again: 2 in 9 years.

We're in the down cycle now. I guarantee when we come back up, we'll win more than 2 over the next 7 years.

Can't expect Matty to be great at this, yet.

The problem here is they are pretending Jones is a seasoned veteran, or better than he really is.

You have to protect the kid. Call ten more running plays than we did. Call ten less passing plays than we did.

He is not processing things effectively. He's not keeping up. He's regressing.

Go ahead and have three games where he throws three passes. His self confidence will improve when we win - not with ugly episodes like Weeks 1 & 3 where he sucks and gets hurt.

QB's who make some great plays and some crappy ones are a dime a dozen. Stop using cookie cutter play calling techniques.

I think it's good he's not being coddled by a tremendously experienced and successful OC like Josh.

But I don't know if Belichick will properly adjust his expectations of what the kid can do out there. Turnovers are fatal.

I though Patricia would be the guy to replace Ernie Adams, not Josh McD.
This is what I thought as well. I remain convinced that will be his role after BB scraps the current setup, which I expect after this “bridge” year.
