By the numbers: Patricia's offense downright offensive

You want him to go through his reads on a corner fade to Parker?

Come on...don't put assumptions in my post. Mac has 2 TDs to what 5 or 6 ints and most of those Ints have to do with forcing it to Parker Instead of looking for the open guy.

I was talking about the one yesterday. Because I -- like most of this board -- blamed Mac on that.

But I was wrong to blame him.

That last part was not the base of my argument I think I said as much,
. And my original point was I think b.flores was a better DC than Matt P.

That wasn't to say he wasn't a good DC while he was here. But we can do better than Matt P. Calling plays in my opinion.

Again he wasn't horrible you can definitely do alot worse than him on the DC side of things, but after his disaster in Detroit and the reaction from players and people in Detroit after he left for me personally makes me second guess him calling anything for me.

Again he didn't do too bad as DC here..but he also knows nothing about being an OC. especially for a young QB
He was fantastic as a DC here.

Patriot fans need to understand that any of the other 30 franchises (with the exception of Seattle) would have died for the production of Patricia's defenses.

I wasn't here that much last year plus it seems if that's the case then the "angst" you were describing is more than just from yesterday's game.

Which fans are fans everywhere. You can go to just about any NFL board and you will see the same type of thing.

I think i clearly stated my point about what the ravens and other teams did compare to the Patriots.

My problem is not with the philosophy change..that was going to happen. Can't stay on top forever.

My problem is the change without the proper tools/coaches/players in place to support the change...

You honestly think this team the way its constructed now is going to the playoffs this year or even next year?

I mean that "middling" ravens team has two playoffs wins. BB since the switch from Brady has none.
This year without Mac for 6 games, no.

But given Belichick's coaching, I think it can turn things around in the next year or 2 and be a top team again. We have work to do at LT, WR, LB and CB still, it should not be that hard to get it done.

As for the Ravens, let me say this again: TWO WINS in 9 YEARS.

This week is GB, who some say has the most talented QB ever. They have won 1 SB with Aaron! If I remember correctly, they haven't even been to another SB with him. That is terrible. We just started the rebuild last year and people are whining about how bad things are, chill out people. we have the best GM/coach to ever do it during the salary cap era and people act like the guy forgot everything he has learned about coaching football and about player and coach evaluations. It seems a bit premature to me.

He had 3 yesterday the next being worse than the pervious.

Keep them guessing!

Soo why when he was released from Detroit. There wasn't anyone knocking at his door?

Mind you when Flores was let go from Miami, he got a job as the Pitt D.C. as he was also interviewing for HC jobs, Flores is also suing the NFL right now as well.

Yes Matt P. did a solid job here as a DC, I wouldn't say fantastic but that's my opinion.

Two playoff wins to NONE for BB since Brady left....and it's been 3 seasons so far. Brady's last season here they loss their only playoff game that season too. (If I remember correctly).

I don't think BB coaching although is great can out do his GM and decision making about buildingthis team right now. This team hasn't look great to date..and this is going back to the last few games last season and Buffalo stomping a mud hole in our butts twice!

I am not one of those fans to over think things but I am a realist. BB the GM needs to be saved from himself.

I wonder if this is a trend with inexperienced QB's in the NFL. Inexperience could lend itself to running plays in a manner that lends itself to telegraphing a run or pass because the QB themselves aren't experienced enough to effectively run a less telegraphed offense.

I dunno, just spitballing here.

And after one additional game, it’s now a 59/41 split under center. Still 27/73 from the shotgun, but that’s right at the league average.
Shotgun I can see it being pass heavy but I was surprised it was that unbalanced under center. Glad they balanced that out more yesterday.

I agree that balanced seems ideal, but there is this old school football mentality in me that loves when they just line up and don't care that the other team knows, and you pound it down their throats and keep doing it until they stop you. That was my favorite part of the "Cam era", I really enjoyed that season. Don't worry, I'm not advocating to bring Cam back.

You do realize most of BB draft picks the last few seasons are no longer here?

This rebuild started the min BB let Brady walk. Although that marriage had to come to an end. There was no "next up" they picked up Cam Newton late the following season than drafted Mac the season after that and let go Cam right before the season started(which was smart). And this season they are going with a "learn on the job" offensive coordinator and game plan...

It's ok to root for the team and have fare criticism of them. There are plenty of just red flags to talk about

What took place while Brady was here is gone now. What are you/ the Patriots doing now?

I though Patricia would be the guy to replace Ernie Adams, not Josh McD.
