Now all of a sudden SamBam PhD the all mighty all knowing savant who knows for sure that BB just dosent care about winning the first 4 games of the year because, you know....the games at the end of the year mean more.why can't "treating september as preseason" just mean that they're still feeling things out and seeing what works. you can do that and be winning, too. I don't get why it has to be synonymous with "we don't care if we don't win."

he didn't say that they were JUST an extension of preseason. He said that they can be seen as an extended preseason in some ways but obviously you are trying to be as competitive as possible. He has discussed how different preseason and the reg season is many times. You are looking for an issue that isn't there. The only stat that matters is wins and losses. By Bill saying that the first 4 weeks of the season are really just an extension of the preseason he is devaluing those games (whether intentionally or not).
Any person who has any experience of betting on the NFL, and really anyone who watches the NFL, should be keenly aware that it's week 5 where teams begin to show their true colors and begin to separate.
I point to the gamblers because they have money on the line and tend to pay more attention to the league as a whole.
This isn't a concept unique to NE.
Actually all the games mean the same amount. A win in September means the exact same as a win in decemberIts been that way every fkking year. Just when you think this place couldnt get any stupider.
"And old Satan Claus, Jimmy, he's out there. And he's just getting stronger."A win in September means the exact same as a win in december
They do? Shiiiiit. And I thought extended PS games were not worth as muchActually all the games mean the same amount. A win in September means the exact same as a win in december
This is just flat out absurd during that twenty years Brady and Manning usually led the two best teams in the conference. You're an absolute moron if you think the conference is more difficult now.
Belichick with the Patriots by Month:
September: .671 (70 games)
October: .774 (84)
November: .707 (75)
December: .793 (87)
January: .725 (40)
You don't even realize the mistake your making lolWay more difficult now.
The last 20 years, Manning was the only AFC thorn to the Patriots.
Now the AFC has Allen, Mahomes, Wilson, Watson, Herbert, Burrow etc.

QB wise sureWay more difficult now.

so..Green Cow has morphed into Snotty Cow...didn't see THIS comingSorry, I don’t play cryptic message board games.
If you have something to say, say it. Otherwise, these cryptic posts serve no purpose.
This is trueQB wise sure
There was a lot of great defenses though
Ravens, Chargers, Steelers, even Jets in the Ryan era
When Belichick says he puts less emphasis on September by design, his record in September shows it..671 is still pretty good
That’s 11-6 over a full season.
Kontra is that you?Super Bowls are the only things that matter in this sport. The fact that you have 0 is relevant to any football related discussion, and when someone brings up the ring count of your franchise, you will look down at the ground and utter the words, "yes, sir - sorry, sir." Especially when it's someone with 6 rings who does it. You are to never make eye contact with your superiors.
Understood?
