Other PUP additions were Falcons linebacker Deion Jones, Raiders receiver Dillon Stoner, Patriots center David Andrews, defensive back Jonathan Jones, linebacker Raekwon McMillan, defensive back Jabrill Peppers, running back James White, Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger, Jets tackle Mekhi Becton, tackle George Fant, defensive end Carl Lawson, guard Dru Samia and tight end C.J. Uzomah.

David Andrews had shoulder surgery this off season... maybe they are waiting for final clearance from the doc? unlike the otas, there will be contact in camp, no?

I thought that he had shoulder surgery done. The Pats tweet said his shoulder was the reason for being placed on PUP.

Um yeah, saints are going to surprise a lot of people next year IMO
Saints are decent but only if Winston is healthy. Look what they did to us in week 3 last year. They're not a factor if Dalton or Hill has to play QB for a long period of time.

We need Jonathan Jones back close to 100%.
He's by far the best cb on the roster and was sorely missed last year. One of the best slot cbs in the nfl. Given how needy we are at the outside cb positions, I think BB will have at least a look at him playing outside some in camp. He's got toughness and blazing speed so his height is really only an issue in the rz.
No matter what, we'll likely see way more zone coverage than we've seen.

Agree, but would add only if the new coaches can coax the level of efficiency Sean Payton got from Winston.

His 167 passing yards per game was a career low, but his 102 QB Rating and interception rate were career bests.

Payton kept a restrictor plate on that turnover machine to protect him from himself. It’s no sure thing the new coaches can or will do the same.

I hope the team lets Andrews and the older vets like J Jones recuperate fully.

It will be really advantageous to get the Jones bros a lot of snaps at CB in camp and I’d love for them to groom Kody Russey as the backup center and interior swing man linemen. The kid is really athletic and stupid strong, he’d be a big upgrade there.

yes, of course

The Saints OC, Pete Carmichael, is still there. im pretty sure he knows to keep things safe with Winston. Arians was an idiot with his “no risk it, no biscuit” crap that led to 30:INTs for Winston

You can't get too concerned about a seasoned veteran on the PUP until about two weeks or so into camp. The coaching staff tend to air on the side of caution with seasoned veterans coming off of offseason surgeries. You tend to see after the Pats are done with all or most of their two a days, some or many of the veterans on PUP come off.

Had surgery for a partially torn labrum. Played through it all season.

As long as Andrews is still our Opening Day starter, then his absence now should be a good opportunity for the backup Center job to begin the process of sorting itself out, including the possibility of looking outside the building if there's even a hint that he might not be...

Candidates, in order of Bill's preference: Thanksdad Ferentz, Kody Russey, Darryl Williams... I'm pulling very, Very hard for the last two dudes...

I think I saw McMillan was activated already, even though he started on PUP. So it can always be a short stay.
