Harry to Chicago for 2024 7th rounder

For me it started with Harry giving up on the route against Roby in the Texans game that led to a pick in his rookie year. That was one of the first moments where I thought he might not have what it takes since he was billed as a physical guy who could outmuscle DBs for the ball and pretty much just went limp when Roby put his hands on him at the top of the route. After that it was basically a dozen little things from not knowing where to line up, to dropped passes, changing his number, and then the most asinine of all, the trade request. Good riddance. I am not rooting against him but man was he disappointing.

And it ended for all intents and purposes on week 16 vs Barfalo, 8 minutes left in 2nd quarter, with two consecutive passes to him: first was a drop, next was a tip-drill INT during which he showed no desire whatsoever to be anywhere near the football at any time...

Might be harsh on the drafting.
Rule of thumb for Patriots fans posting on the internets is if the team lands 5 starters and 3 solid reserves every draft they are just meeting their minimum job requirements.
Fixed it for you. Get with the program.

Not sure how it is whining to say that the drafts as of late have been subpar to flat out bad. Basically any time anything on here that is pointed out that isn't sunshine and rainbows you get some 60 something boomer talking about "In my day!". Somehow because you're old that means you're a better fan? The team hasn't drafted well for a while. Bill has made some extremely questionable personnel moves in the last few years. The team imploded down the stretch last year. Saying those things doesn't make you less of a fan. The same way all these cry babies whine that people still root for Brady or Gronk they whine if anyone dare question the infallible Bill Belichick. Bill is the greatest coach to ever do it but it isn't our of the realm of possibility that he has lost his fastball.
BS… we’re rehashing the million ways the Harry pick sucked. A guy everyone here knew in advance would be gone this preseason. A guy who has been lambasted a million times already.

How many pages did last offseason’s dedicated Harry thread get to? Something like 30+ pages…

How many different ways can you moaners complain about the same thing and tell us the winningest coach in history actually sucks?

Are you guys going to start another Harry thread next offseason? Good grief…

See for yourself. How many would you say are good trades?
Sanu was the only one we can say was universally bad.

Bennett was a bad trade but they recovered by getting a 6th from DAL

All the rest either were low round swaps for JAGs or had special circumstances (Gilly, Gronk)

BB sucks as long as you ignore all the good young rookies that they have developed.

The trades are laughable… the market dictates trade return, not the whims of whiny fans.

Gilmore being a prime example, he was 30 years old coming off major surgery and oh yeah, had the largest cap hit on the entire team. Why did they only get a late round pick in return? Because nobody wanted him at all, they announced they were going to release him… then Carolina who just lost their 1st round draft pick CB to season ending injury offered that late pick. And BB sucks for it…. laughable.
More excuses. You probably have Bill's balls hanging on your front door.

So what's the end game for the Tommyites? If the pats win another super bowl, they will look foolish big time. So therefore they have to root against the Pats as long as BB is the HC/GM lol. But why continue to post about a team you are rooting against? Doesn't make any sense.

These are the recent trades made by Bill:

2019:
Bennet - to DAL for 2021 6th
Sanu - from ATL for 2020 2nd
D Thomas - to NYJ for 2021 6th
Crossen - to HOU for 2020 6th
Dawson - to DEN w/ 2020 7th for 2020 6th
Bodine - from BUF for 2020 6th
Cunningham - from ARI for 2020 6th
Eluemunor - from BAL w/ 2020 6th for 2020 4th
Saubert - from ATL for 2020 7th
Hollister - to SEA for 2020 7th
Bennet - from PHI w/ 2020 7th for 2020 5th

2020:
I Ford - from MIA for 2022 6th
M Jackson - from DET for 2022 cond.
Gronk - to TB w/ 2020 7th for 2020 4th
Harmon - to DET w/ 2020 7th for 2020 5th

2021:
Gilly - to CAR for a 2023 6th
Y Durant - from KC for 2022 7th
Wade - from BAL for 2022 7th & 2023 5th
Michel - to LAR for 2022 6th & 2023 4th
R Izzo - to HOU for 2022 7th
Cannon - to HOU w/ 2021 5th & 6th for 2021 4th & 6th
T Brown - from LVR +2022 7th for 2022 5th

2022:
Harry - to CHI for 2024 7th
Stidham - to LVR +2023 7th for 2023 6th
Parker - from MIA +2022 5th for a 2023 3rd
Mason - to TB for a 2022 5th
Wino - to CLE for Wilson

There's a whole lot of terrible trades in last 4 years. The best trade out of the whole lot is probably T Brown but he only played 10 games. I would have to say that for the most part Bill got fleeced (especially by ATL, BAL & TB).

Now go back and figure out the cap savings/hit of each of these trades. Most of the Patriots trades, especially the bigger names, were cap trades. You know this but you just don't want to admit that a cap trade can be good for the team because it would ruin your narrative.

If Harry has a solid rookie season like Debo and others, does Brady leave? Should have at least beat Tennesee and their POS QB. So this IS a big deal. I'll whine all I want to thank you very much!
Yeah. You tell them

Except you were whining when they pats were winning and building solid rosters

So I guess you just like to whine and go out of your way to find things to whine about

After interesting insight from my boy Ted Johnson, he had said that we should focus in on how players are doing during 1 on 1's. If a WR or CB isn't doing very well, it could be a major red flag like it was with Chris Canty back in 1997.

Did anybody attend training camp in 2019 and watch how Harry did in 1 on 1's? I will now want to know how Thornton does when training camp picks up.

I've been critiquing this team for years. It's the off season. Get off your high horse and go to the fecking beach if you don't care for this thread.

No. You are a whiner and whine about things that are ridiculous

Nothing wrong with criticism. This board wouldn’t be any fun with a bunch of homer idiots

Who said I did not care for this thread. It’s actually a great thread. After this one we probably won’t have to hear about this bust again. Oh wait I am on patsfan where the new motto should be” hell hath no fury like a patfan poster”.

I just think people who constantly complain about true same things over and over are probably on the spectrum

Bunch of fu kking incel pu ssies

So when a first round pick who has been taking up a roster spot gets traded we are supposed to what, ignore it? We are in the dullest period of the NFL calendar of course it is going to be discussed and of course people will propose what ifs. You and your sunshine band like to cry over every post you don't like instead of just ignoring it. If you ignored the opinions you don't like there wouldn't be a back and forth and then you would have nothing to cry about.

And what the **** exactly is a Patrick Daugherty?
I never heard of him before, but he describes his methodology in that he looks at a GM's overall record, with a weighted emphasis on more recent results.

Using that criteria, of course Belichick would be considered a top GM. He won 6 Super Bowls. But, much like Belichick the coach, if we evaluate Belichick the GM without Brady then the results are somewhat less spectacular.... Belichick's prowess as a GM, much like his prowess as a coach, has been entirely dependent on one man.

Yep... and yet the Smartest Man in NFL History still managed to **** up our cap situation while our starting QB is on a rookie contract...
We have to most cap space in the league in 2023 a year removed from having the most cap space in the league. You really have zero clue how this cap thing works.

Camp starts in a week and you are recycling the same “BB sucks” blather you guys trade in year round.

It’s all you talk about, why you needed your own TBTom forum, because everyone else wanted to talk about this team.
