It's even sadder that all you can do is keep making excuses for BB.

Want to talk about Draft Position?

N'Keal Harry #32. 598 yards, 4 TDs

Deebo Samuel #36. 2598 yards, 10 TDs

AJ Brown #51. 2995 yards, 24 TDs

Mecole Hardman #56. 1791 yards, 12 TDs

DK Metcalf #64. 3170 yards, 29 TDs

Diontae Johnson #66. 2764 yards, 20 TDs

Terry Mclaurin #76. 3090 yards, 16 TDs

Hunter Renfrow #149. 2299 yards, 15 TDs

It's like the Brady 6 but in reverse. Frankly EMBARRASSING draft FAIL by BB.

I don't think I need to go on. Just stop while you're ahead, the Legion of BB defenders are just deluding yourselves at this point.

WTF cares? Everyone knows Belichick whiffed on Harry and could have taken any one of those other receivers. But we're talking about a whole body of work over 20 years here. And until you and your idiot friend 49 prove that "Bill is the worst drafter in the league" you should just shut up. You don't go to 9 super bowls with bad drafting.

It's a glorious opportunity for Belichick bashers to celebrate -- which is exactly what is going on in this thread.
Don't forget the temper tantrums from the Belichick krishnas. We are seeing an awful lot of that too.

And I am not the only one who noticed how they go straight to the personal attacks....

Is this what this forum has become ?

Yeah, a 6th round pick turns into the most accomplished QB in NFL history and he just happened to play for Bill Belichick...

On the biggest bust, my 2 cents

It is not even CLOSE to how much bigger of a bust this guy is, compared to all others mentioned. The biggest reason is that Nkeal was the ONLY player Ive seen in BBs tenure to COMPLETELY **** up and STILL be called upon as THE guy for certain plays (in a small time-frame).

I cant and wont go through the nightmare of relieving Nkeal time here, but man, I cant forget the Bills game were he """"muffled""" the punt in the dumbest way Ive ever seen, then fumbling a ball right next to the goal line (i think it was the same game), The other game this guy was blocking his own teammate on a outside run, then GIVING UP MID-ROUTES , messing design play for him to get open and having THE SLOWEST route running in THE HISTORY of the NFL.

All other busts we had, boom, they had their chances, their injuries, but they faded slowly, with each health scratch games they missed, we were getting used to the nothingness. Harry was the ****ing gift that kept on exploding in your face every time you come near it.

then you add the absolute circumstancial but still infuriating fact that SEVEN Wr picked later than him were pro-bowlers. This one is super messed up. No pick had this amount of factors involved, and again, to me it's not even close

On a more personal note, he was the last draft pick I got really excited with. A different prototype from what we had, first rounder, good highlights all around... And coming to a receiver-depleted team, and TB on his final push.

Thornton bud, my heart is broken, but I hope you try mending it

For me it started with Harry giving up on the route against Roby in the Texans game that led to a pick in his rookie year. That was one of the first moments where I thought he might not have what it takes since he was billed as a physical guy who could outmuscle DBs for the ball and pretty much just went limp when Roby put his hands on him at the top of the route. After that it was basically a dozen little things from not knowing where to line up, to dropped passes, changing his number, and then the most asinine of all, the trade request. Good riddance. I am not rooting against him but man was he disappointing.

Everyone is great at rating draft picks 3 years after the draft. Likewise, everyone sucks at rating players *during* the draft. As for the Patriots drafting N'Keal Harry over Deebo Samuel - Which one of these college stat lines is Samuel's & which one is Harry's?

Gm Rec Yds Avg TD
12 58 659 11.4 5
13 82 1142 13.9 8
12 73 1088 14.9 9
37 213 2889 13.6 22 Total

Gm Rec Yds Avg TD
05 12 161 13.4 1
10 59 783 13.3 1
03 15 250 16.7 3
12 62 882 14.2 11
30 148 2076 14.0 16 Total

Holy f*cking hell, get a hold of yourself. Do we really need more Harry hand-wringing and rehashing? How many hundreds of posts have been devoted to this subject? Thank you for typing SEVEN in capital letters and adding bold emphasis, because otherwise we never would have known that so many other receivers from that draft had excelled, based only on those hundreds of other posts about the same topic. We finally got it with your post. God bless you.

Some here are probably upset that Harry is gone because they now have one less thing to whine/b*tch/moan about. Let’s be honest, very few posters here disliked the pick at the time. Some had WRs whom they preferred but pre-draft Harry was in the mix with a handful of WRs for top 3 status. He wasn’t considered a reach at the end of the 1st round. Having said that, these are the truths that have been discussed ad nauseam over the past 2-3 years that we all (should) accept:

- IT ENDED UP BEING A DISASTROUS PICK. THAT IS ON BILL.

- THE SUCCESS OF SEVERAL WRs DRAFTED AFTER HARRY MAKES THE PICK EVEN MORE PAINFUL FOR PATS FANS (AND EVERYONE IN THE PATS ORGANIZATION).

Ok, now can we just MOVE THE F*CK ON? He’s officially gone. The return is embarrassing, for the Pats front office and for Harry.

@Ian, aren’t these the type of threads that should be locked, when it becomes clear that nobody is bringing anything new to the table (neither the Bill haters nor the Bill supporters), multiple posters are writing the same tired sh*t because they see an opportunity to get one last smack in on the dead horse or because it is somehow therapeutic for them and the thread has devolved into a divisive mess.

I think Harry's failure feels all the worse because of our consistent lack of weapons the past 4 years. We squeezed out a SB vs the Rams with no passing offense, then lost in the first round the next year with even less, then hit bottom in the Cam/Covid year. The attempts with AB and Sanu. The injuries to Gronk and JE. It was essential that Harry work out, and he didn't. If we had a respectable stable of receivers like we do this year, it wouldn't have mattered so much.

I'd say the odds are about the same as a mediocre HC stumbling ass backwards into the GOAT QB, having an incredible run with that GOAT, then returning to his ways as a mediocre HC once that QB leaves (while the QB went on to win a championship his first year elsewhere)

We're not getting into this BB vs TB debate again are we? Let's just stop it. Calling either TB or BB mediocre is one of the dumbest things I ever heard. Let's get back on the topic of Harry please.

So you are rooting against Bill to be successful in the next few years because doing so would undermine your theory...got it. Great to know we have "Pats fans" on this board who want the team to fail just because they have a Brady fetish...
