Patricia is working with the OL this year

Its trolling for a reaction. Congratulations, you won, I reacted. Whats your endgame Craw? You want to be free to post what you want, yet you are unwilling to accord me the same courtesy?
I don't really have an endgame. I do think people need to be more discerning when reading an opinion vs trolling. I think it's probably most people are posting with the intent of interacting, which requires a reaction to what you've said. When you're blatantly dismissive of someone's opinion by labelling them a hater with an agenda, you are going to get a reaction there too. I don't think any of us think we're shouting into the abyss.

That's cool. I'm also not a huge fan of having Judge & Patricia as the offensive braintrust right now. Still, as with every choice, you gotta consider the alternatives. And there didn't appear to be any options that were A) Available, B) Clear cut better options, and C) System fits.
Let's be brutally honest here.
Bill's hiring practices are controlled by his own unique criteria that other teams don't consider, and because of these factors, available options were few and far between.

BB's hiring criteria in order of preference.

1) Blood relative (Sadly, Bill ran out of kids)

2) Relatives of Friends of Bill (Unfortunately, more FOB spawn are leaving than coming in-----a FOB Net Loss)

3) Recently terminated NFL coaches with Patriots familiarity with offset language within their contracts that allow Bill to pay consultant salaries while receiving coordinator services

4A) Assistant coaches who agree to fulfill contracts regardless of interview requests by other teams for elevated positions.
4B) Assistant coaches who won't demand additional salary or title despite elevated duties.

5) Interns exclusively from D3 colleges who were college mates of existing coaches

It's a very narrow applicant pool and Bill opted for #3 despite lack of pertinent experience in their new "consulting" roles.

There are new OL calls this year: “Breakfast!” “Lunch!” “Dinner!” “Snacks!”

And yet, time and again, those assistant coaches are picked up by other teams. Amazing

and i think people need to be more discerning when they are posting so it cant be taken for trolling.

Patricia is only good at two things. Eating and making a disgrace out of himself.

Working with the offense? Lol. Train wreck.

That's actually quite accurate.

No I said regarding any information leaking out of Foxboro weekly that could provide a competitive advantage… that I’m okay not knowing it. Whiners feel they are entitled to know everything… see this thread for examples.

I said there may be an advantage of not having our coaches poached next offseason in not naming coordinators… that’s all.
OK, let me understand.

We have a fine offense and we are at an advantage by not naming an OC??? Teams would be able to hire our best offensive coach and name him OC. If the coach were an OC for us, then the team would need to offer him a promotion. To me, the advantage is with our opponents.

Nobody said that. I said perhaps there may be an advantage next offseason of other teams not knowing exactly who is credited assuming the offense thrives and they want to hire someone who is ill prepared to become a head coach the way Patricia and Judge were.

There is zero difference between having a titled offensive coordinator and one without the title… literally none. They’ll still have someone calling the offense, a I suspect it will be Nick Caley, but it won’t matter at all to the team… the plays will still be called in, the offense will still perform based on how they practice and play.

The real train wreck is fat Matt trying to keep mrs. Patricia satisfied in the bedroom!

Patricia watched to much Game of Thrones, started thinking he was the king.

So guys that suck as head coaches are just terrible coaches now?
I don’t think it’s the fact that these guys were brought back to be on the staff.

It’s the fact that they were brought back to coach positions they had not coached in their previous time here. And the positions are pretty damn important ones.

It feels scrapped together. Something doesn’t seem right about it at all. I keep telling myself we’re not seeing late career Tom Landry, late career Chuck Knoll drop off here with Bill. That he still has a method to the madness.

But I can’t help but see what I’m seeing. This feels different.

My new bumper sticker reads "Honk if you love Offensive and Defensive Coordinators."

The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans had coordinators last season and they sucked.

Which ones? I don't think all of our opponents have an advantage. As a matter of fact, I would call the Raiders-Patriots game a pick'em under the current circumstances. Organizationally, the Raiders are a dumpster fire. They've got a good roster, but so do the Patriots - at every position group. The Patriots are a playoff team with a terrific young QB who outplayed all the QBs in his draft class last year. So if we're going to hand over the advantage to other teams, let's begin with some specifics.

The only teams on the schedule that are surefire favorites over the Pats are the Bills, the Bengals, and maybe the Packers and Ravens. Agreed that they have solid coaching staffs, but I doubt any of them are looking past the Patriots.

Please expand on this. Who exactly are these good roster players at every position group?

Top 10 NFL Pats players:
QB: 0
RB: 1
WR: 0
TE: 1
OL: 1
T: 0

DL: 0
EDGE: 0
LB: 0
CB: 0
S: 1

This team has a bunch of average to middling starters w/ very few top talented players. A large number of starters & back-ups had very few (or zero) snaps last season.

Just because as fans we happen to know these players, doesn't mean they are very good when compared to their peers in the NFL. Nvm about their lack of experience playing in real NFL games together.

Top Pats players on O: Mac, Harris, Henry, Onwenu

Top Pats players on D: Judon, Phillips, McCourty, Barmore (?)

None of those guys are Wow players that can take over a game or play good enough to earn the team a win.

This team will live or die on Mac's shoulders. He's the only one that can carry the team to a victory w/ his play. Bill drafting 7 of 10 offensive players and trading for Parker shows he's focused on giving Mac all the weapons he needs to succeed.

Let's hope Mac has a massive Yr 2 jump. We're going to need it.

They are weak at WR until proven otherwise.

They are weak at DL, LB and CB.

They lost twice to the Dolphins last year. After their additions on offense, you can expect them being favored week 1 at home against the Pats.

They are weak at WR until proven otherwise.

They are weak at every level of the defense.
I think they have a strong and deep safety group.

Jags D coordinator held Buffalo to 6 points (0 TDs) and forced 3 Bills punts in Jacksonville's week 10 victory last season

Pats D non-coordinators held Buffalo to 47 points (7 TDs) and forced 0 punts in their WC playoff round
----------------
BB and his kidlings should call up the Jags D coordinator and ask for some tips
