Coaching Staff Concerns (*posts moved out of rookie camp thread)

I get it now. Belichick is a genius. He wants to keep the OC/DC a secret from the other 31 teams because:

1. He wants to protect his staff from mean ppl in the news, SM and football forums. The Patriots staff in a professional football league (The NFL) are so sensitive, their feelings might get hurt. That's as good of a reason as any since none of the other 31 teams staffs suffer from low Testosterone levels.
2. He's determined that knowing who the OC/DC are from the other 31 teams gives him a competitive advantage even above studying film. He's got ppl following them around to study their behaviour patterns (eating, sleeping, shopping) which he then puts into a Matrix model to prepare him so teams are forced to punt during games.
3. Internally, it keeps everyone egos in check since he's the only one in the building that knows what the F*ck is going on. Knowledge is power.

For the above solid reasons, I take back my criticism of this pathetic ploy being completely and utterly unprofessional. It's true genius. Only Belichick in his infinite wisdom could dream up such a brilliant plan.

I think you nailed it

Do you have nothing better to do? You are arguing with yourself.
You complain about something, and no one really cares. So you make up hypothetical explanations designed to support your complaining that no one cares about.
Essentially something is being done that you appear to lack the capability of understanding why. So you pollute the board with an argument with yourself.

If that’s how you wish to spend your time, go for it, but don’t expect anyone to take you seriously.

If Dalton Keene can give Thorton some "pointers" on gaining mass..we will be calling Thorton Quadzilla in no time. Until then...Thorton will be known as the the slim reaper.
Agreed. Also when was that pic taken ? I'm going to be surprised if he inst playing h-back or lining up at fullback on occasion...he was good at it in college.

Today if I'm not mistaken.

Thank you for caring.

I believe Belichick has fallen into the same exact trap that savants in all fields are vulnerable to. That because they are so good at something that they are insistent in their belief that they can pass that talent on. And it just doesn’t usually work out that way. And it can actually be a disaster.

As the great philosopher George Costanza once said to his pupil Jerry when asked for his tutelage in the art of lying “Jerry, I can't. It's like saying to Pavarotti, "Teach me to sing like you."

From Bedard: “I’ve heard from people in the last couple days about what’s going on with the offensive coaching staff, and the initial reports I’m getting back are not good at all. And that includes what they’re hearing from the players internally. It’s not going in a good direction.”

bedard's twitter analytics have been slipping......

And they're still noticeably bigger than BoneyT's.
I asked this already with little response but since you are the one championing the little leg gribe I will ask you directly:

With Crable we were concerned about his ability to win battles vs stronger/bigger OL.

So what is the issue with a WRs calves we need to worry about?

Are we concerned his legs are going to break? Is there some correlation to small calves and knee injuries? What else might be the problem?

Or...

Mac: “Hey Coach, who’s our offensive coordinator?

Bill: "Patricia is a bit offensive".
O.K. Cousin, A curve ball................... What if and perhaps Hoyer is being groomed for the OC/Play calling job? Who knows the plays better?
He's got the ears on during the game, doesn't he?

OH Yeah, French Toast, organic maple syrup with blackberries, hazelnut coffee and OJ. I like the bread a little soggy.

Ok you can never go wrong with French toast. Also don’t we all want Hoyer to coach at some point. But please correct me if I’m wrong but I think he mentioned in the past he has no desire to coach…which is a shame if true.

From the weasel Volin… Brian Hoyer on if he wants to go into coaching: “Not at this point. I think my wife may leave me if I do that. ‘Honey, I am going to work longer hours and get paid less.’”

I don’t know which players would actually be leaking this information but I can’t say I disagree with them. A second year QB working with a defensive minded head coach and two failed head coaches who weren’t really offensive guys prior. Seem to be putting a lot of eggs in the Brian Hoyer basket.

WR are naturally going to have thinner legs than RBs, Safeties & some CBs... It's the nature of what they're asked to do... But this dude's legs go beyond that, way beyond... But if you can't notice the difference between BoneyT's and Randy Moss's legs, then I don't know what else to say.
