It's been a crazy first day here in England, and it just got a little crazier after multiple outlets are reporting that Chad Ochocinco is heading to Foxboro.
There's no question that the now former Bengals receiver has a good relationship with head coach Bill Belichick, as seen in this video on HBO Hard Knocks from a couple of years ago. However, it's hard to believe that he's now going to be a Patriot.
The team reportedly sent two late-round picks to Cincinnati - one pick in 2012 and one pick in 2013. Not a bad deal for a guy who gives Tom Brady another weapon heading into this season.
Ochocinco has been a great possession receiver and has good speed. Attitude shouldn't be an issue, since other than having issues with Marvin Lewis he doesn't really have any character issues. Granted his antics have been tough for some fans, but if you follow him on Twitter, he really loves the fans and has been a generous individual who really seems to appreciate every one of them.
Needless to say, it should be a fun season.
As for who is going to wear #85, obviously at this point it's being worn by Aaron Hernandez. Although whether or not any money is exchanged to change that remains to be seen.
We'll have more to come on this move in a bit.
