Brady to Fox after he retires

The coaching? Folk hit the upright - he missed. It's not like the kick fell short by a few yards. The distance was there but the accuracy was slightly off. How's that Bill's fault? You love blaming Bill for everything, don't you? This was a game where NO ONE gave the Pats a chance to even come close to winning. All I heard from people like you and the media that week was that the Bucs were going to win 40-10 lol. Well, Bill kept Tommy out of the end zone the whole game and made him look like a rookie. You better hope it's not Bucs vs Pats in the super bowl next year. Bill is one of the few coaches that can slow Tommy down and make him look foolish.
Pats would’ve gotten blown out if it weren’t for the rain storm.

See Buffalo.

“Worst Super Bowl wins” lol. That’s not a thing.
One of his "worst" Super Bowl win includes a game winning drive where they were the first team to win on the final play of the game against a super team in his first season as a starter. How can he live with himself with that on his resume?

I love Brady, but he is going to be horrible. He doesn't have the charisma that Romo and Peyton possess.

uh...Manning? charisma? a phuckin' steroid addled freak that blames his WIFE `for DOCUMENTED SHIPMENTS OF ILLEGAL ROIDS to him? or the charismatic minstrations of "aww shucks I eat shyt" the first four seasons of his career until Polian put the finishing touches on the rules to FIT his goober SEXUAL ASSAULT ARTIST? what the hell have YOU been watching lately?

Brady's worst super bowl wins were against the Rams. His stats prove as such. And what about Denver? He's 1-3 in the playoffs vs them, and like I said, his 1 win came against Tebow.
Unlike you, players (and fans) care more about winning than stats.

BTW, if the playoffs are what matters, then Brady is 2-1 against the Rams, 1-0 against the Saints. Oops!!

It’s hilarious how Brady has so many Super Bowl wins that such an issue can even be raised.

I've always said that retirement is going to be hell for Brady.. he can't stand not being the center of attention.

This can't sit well with Gisele and the kids.. not having Brady around on Sundays, half of the year for the next decade.

Hmm...seems like he went 1-7 against those teams without Belichick. Oops.

Unlike you, I actually wanted NE to win that game vs Tampa. You seem to be happy the Pats lost.

Mac played in the rain too, and he outperformed Brady with lesser weapons, mind you. A guy half Brady's age stared him down in the house that Brady built. And isn't Tommy the best bad weather quarterback ever? No excuses for him.

Honestly never thought he would be going to commentary after he was done.
I always thought he'd "follow the money." This is a relatively low stress way of doing that...he stays close to the game with paid private air travel and all the other amenities. He keeps his face in front of millions and can still build his TB12 brand and get paid for public appearances.

Only thing is that I think he sold himself too cheaply...wouldn't be surprised if there is an opt-out or escalation clause in the contract.

I know it's a lot less work than being a player, but it is still at least one game a week and sometimes two, with travel days on the front and back end, and with a fair amount of prep work.

The idea of him suddenly spending so much more time with his family and being there for kid's activities would not seem to fit all that well with this plan.
Nah. He'll do the prep remotely and show up at the game site the day before the game for sit-downs. For a Sunday game, he can bring the whole fandamily with him.

The whole Brady/Bill without Bill/Brady argument isn't exactly in Team Bill's favor right now so probably best not to go there. ;)

And every single one of us on this board was cheering for the Patriots to win that game. I didn't see any visiting Bucs fans register here unless I missed one.

Mac didn't outperform Brady he had the reins strapped on tight and managed the game as best he could. The stats don't always tell all the story.

Eh, Tommy got lucky in 2020. His playoff opponents had significant injuries along the way.

Brady - 22 for 43, 269 yards, 0 TDs, 73 QBR

Mac - 31 for 40, 265 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT, 101 QBR

Mac's completion percentage in the rain (75%) puts him over the top as to who played better that game. Sorry - go back to Tampa.

Here's a question I know you'll never answer:

Would you rather be the QB with the better stat-line or the QB who won the game?

The stats don't tell the whole story.

It was Mac's 4th game of his career. He had the reins strapped on him. He wasn't asked to go out there and win the game. The Patriots had no running game whatsoever and his OL was a sieve. So he carefully managed the game, that was his job and he did all right.

How do we know this? BB said it himself by deciding that sending his hobbled kicker out there in bad weather to try a very low % field goal was a better option than giving Mac the chance to convert a makeable 4th and 3 in Tampa territory with the game on the line. So that 101 rating is meaningless here and does not tell the story of the game. Mac's job was to manage the game, period. Game managers usually do have a high rating and also a low YPA. Mac's YPA that game was only 6.6.

A more experienced Jones not only would have gotten the chance to convert he would have probably obliterated a team with a banged up secondary consisting of the shell of Richard Sherman and replacements like he faced that night. Brady himself might have thrown for 600.

Brady didn't have his best game but he also wasn't managing the game either. You made the injury excuse so it's fair to say the Bucs didn't have Gronk who was looking great up to that point. Plus Brady had a few of his throws dropped and the Bucs took penalties that wiped out some big plays.

Enough with the excuses. You can't admit when "your own team's QB" outplays your hero, can't you?
