I almost think Bill is trying to tank - perhaps he sees some stud at the top of the 2023 draft cause thats where this team could be heading for #1 pick - Kraft also suddenly hints his relationship with Bill starting to change south so maybe this will be his last year, personally I think its time to reload.

No issue with the player but the pick is just gross. I don't mind even if you reach slightly for him at 54 but you have to be cognisant of league wide value and ratings. No one was selecting him in the top 50 surely. Awful pick.

I hated this pick but Kiper did have him going in the 50s.

If we took him in the 2nd round, I would be pissed, but o would probably be ok with it. We took him in the first ducking round. This is outrageous. Todays nfl is about speed in space. This pick is egregious.
It shows a lack of understanding of todays game

Bill has gone on the record as being someone who really likes to listen to other players and coaches because they all have different angles.

Walsh said this was crucial to a good organization - one that encourages input on every level.

So it seems to me, the one place Bill can't get a ****ing grip on this, is with the draft. I have a hard time believing this was a group consensus.

I could be wrong but whatever.

If I want to be positive, protecting Mac is huge. It would help develop his ability to go through a progression, which means players like Agholor could get on the stat sheet more.

That's all the positivity I got. Who wants to **** on it by telling me how many better guards there were to take?

Another in a series of very poor value picks. The Patriots have an objectively bad track record of drafting the past five years. They have few starters from their recent draft string. Very poor decisions in player evaluation. This appears to be more of the same.
Still an excellent game planning coach. But these poor draft decisions could be the issue that prevents Belichick from chasing down Shula.
