All you guys look the same. LolMy hero! But ... Nigel is WELSH!
Best Englishman ever to play for the Pats!
Yeah, not after he actively tried and succeeded to a degree to undermine and torpedo this team after he left.Parcells?
1 - He quit on the Patriots.
2 - While at the Superbowl team hotel, he was calling the Jets the week BEFORE the game to line up his next job.
3 - He tried to screw the Pats out of compensation by claiming that he was a private consultant for the Jets and not formally employed by them. Taglibue had to intervene, otherwise the Patriots would have received ZERO draft picks.
4 - SOB signed Curtis Martin to a contract which is now outlawed in the NFL.
5 - Stole Curtis Martin from NE.
NEVER
Parcells cut a path of salary cap destruction wherever he left. He doled out money on contracts to his loyal players like there was no tomorrow.Yeah, not after he actively tried and succeeded to a degree to undermine and torpedo this team after he left.
Was also only a .500 coach with the Patriots, 32-32. Two losing seasons out of four. Compare that to BB having two losing seasons out of 22.
Drew Bledsoe and Kraft did more to put us on the map than Parcells.
A lot of love for Julius Adams. I'd put him in over Vince.
Logan Mankins was very good but he wasn't there for any of the Super Bowl wins.
I like Lawyer Milloy but I'm not sure I'd put him in the NEP HOF.
Same with Vrabel. Although he also was a reliable receiver from the 1-yard line.
John Smith? No way.
Chuck Fairbanks... I can't think of a reason to put him in.
Bill Parcells... not for his 4 years and .500 record. No thanks.
Wes Welker gets my vote by a wide margin among these nominees. He averaged 112 receptions for 1243 yards per season. He was ridiculously reliable except for the SB 46 drop and two drops in the 2012 AFCCG. Admittedly those were critical plays. Still, he led the team in receptions every season in New England. Also led the NFL in receptions 3 times and was second twice. It's hard to argue a better receiver ever wore a Patriots uniform.
