So because Meyers had more catches than rookie, Elijah Moore…. You think Meyers is going to be better in 2022 & beyond?

When I look at the two players, I clearly see that Moore has a much better skill set & I would be willing to bet he far outperforms Meyers in his career.

Meyers has outperformed him. That’s a fact. What either will do in the future is an opinion. You seem to like to overrate guys who havent done anything if they aren’t patriots and think every patriot sucks. You are biased.
But I am curious. How many jet games did you watch in all22 film last year to be able to grade out Moore? What exactly are you basing this evaluation on?

I told you in one of the first exchanges I will bet you the patriots offense scores more points than the lions offense. You have just ignored that.

Meyers is a slot receiver who catches 80 passes a year. There are not a lot of those, and they have value.

Not a bad bench player, but are you happy with 2 touchdowns over 3 seasons from a starter?

Now that may be acceptable if he was playing with Randy Moss, but when the other 2 starters had a total of 8 touchdowns, we need an upgrade?

Are you happy with 10 touchdowns in 17 games from our starting 3 wide receivers?

I look at the big picture. I recognize that the people in charge of an organization make thousands of decisions, some good, some bad, some average. I judge on the sum total and see absolutely no value in griping about what isn’t good. Every team ever had good bad and ugly. It’s the nature of the beast.
So I neither over praise individual points not over criticize them.
As far as Belichick is concerned he is the greatest to ever do the job. The results prove that beyond a doubt. He has made more good decisions and fewer poor decisions than anyone who has ever done the job. So I don’t search around like you for things to gripe about because I understand with responsibly and authority come mistakes.
You are simply unrealistic and like to gripe. I would never have any interest in being that kind of fan.
If I was a fan of the Jets or Jags 90% of my opinions would be negative because everything is wrong with those franchises. As a fan of the team that had the greatest run in the history of the sport I see zero value in picking out the mistakes which are fewer than anyone else has made and griping about them.

No I am objective about Meyers, like I am about everyone.

The red zone offense was good last year. That is not what he brings to the table.

He caught 83 passes for almost 900 yards, 42 first downs, 19 of them on 3rd down conversions and 3 drops.
There is plenty of value in that.

I am always happy with upgrades. Why wouldn’t I be?
He was #16 among all NFL WRs in receptions (meaning more than the leader on half the teams) and 29th in receiving yards, meaning near the bottom of the team leaders, or top of #2s.
It would be great to find someone who produces more but that’s not easy.

We do need a legit receiving # 1 threat though.

Look at the past 5 superbowl winners.. the top receiving threats are better than what we have currently.
