It's going to take at least that to get him considering what Parker and Hill were traded for.To the people that want a WR. Would you trade 21 for DK or Terry?
To the people that want a CB. Would you trade 21 for AJ Terrell? Broke out last year, tied for CB3 when I graded him coming out.
Take a page from the Rams or no?
Just throwing it out there.
They have plenty of restructures they could do to pay them. That's all very well, but how would you pay them? I'm afraid that this year will have to be JAGs and rookies.
Here's what fans need to understand. Here we are with another week and a half before April first arrives and what do have have 50 odd players currently under contract. In the end we will HAVE to have another 35-40 more players to add BEFORE we go to camp in late July. Only about 7-10 will be draftees and UDFA, so there will ba a LOT of players with NFL experience left to add, SOME of them might even wind up being quality additions in the end. The team building process CONTINUESSSSSSSSSSSS
Would you trade #54 for DK? Maybe draft a true slot with a 5th or 6th? Spend 21 on defense or trade back? Just asking jope every one is well.
Saying that Metcalf is a "one trick pony" tells me you haven't watched a single Seawhawks game in the last two years. Metcalf isn't no where close to a one trick pony..Nope, dude is a one trick knuckle headed pony. Granted it’s a hell of a trick and his stats look really good but I wonder how much of that is Russell Wilson being, IMO the best deep ball guy in the league, but certainly top 3 which fits DK’s strengths. I see him being too expensive and under used here so there are better ways to allocate limited resources.

If they'd had so many ways of making extra cap room they wouldn't have traded Shaq Mason, in my opinion.
I'd be hard pressed not to for only 54. That's. Pretty much exact value where he was picked and he obviously has performed a little better than that slot. Probably 25-40 range. Idk that seems like a good deal for both.Personally, I would do that with no hesitation .
Yes, but he would be a big money guy, don't know his contract but we would never pay him his asking price. Definitely an exceptional talent. Being in Seattle we don't get a lot of information about him here.
I hear this a lot and at times fall into myself but you have to pay for good players. I get the prices are looking crazy but it is what it is in that regard. The caps going up and people are paying that money. 20m per year is crazy for a WR if you've bern watching football all your life but again that's the rate. I get that we're not a team that spends needlessly but I think it's clear we need to need a little more help on that side although I'm fine with this group this year.Would the Patriots be willing to pay him $28 million per to extend him? If not, and I think the answer is no, why would they trade for him?
I get this and he might not scream typical NEP but his skill set is lacking here, no? Plus I don't think he needs 150 + targets to do some damage. I don't think we'd have to force feed him or change much at all. He'll give you 900-1k yards off 100-120 targets but more importantly imo. He puts up 6. That's huge with me for WR. Catch the ball, route running, blah, blah, blah but if you can put up 6 consistently you're changing the game. 29 TD in 3 years would be much welcomed here.Nope, dude is a one trick knuckle headed pony. I think he definitely goes for a 1 but they're selling and clearly in the mist of a big rebuild on both sides with a 70 year old coach (which is nuts when you think about it but hey Pete is obviously content with starting from scratch)Again, I don't see how Metcalf gets traded for anything less than what Hill was traded for.
Yea again I'd be hard pressed to not do 54 for DK. That's great value. Sure we have to pay him but you have to pay players in today's game with the cap, post-Brady and the timetable we're on.I'd trade This years and Next years #1s for Metcalf. Speaking of factual information. What’s your source about Mason wanting guaranteed money?Agree to disagree there. Trading Shaq Mason wasn't about the extra cap room. It was about Mason not having guaranteed money this year and next and him wanting some.
I'm sorry.. Did you say something? Pretty sure you said you weren't talking to me..Speaking of factual information. What’s your source about Mason wanting guaranteed money?
Thanks for that detail, that's still gives them 15 more shots at finding contributors PLUS the 7 draft picks. So that's 21 more bullets in the gun. You'd like to think at least 7 of them will help.Actually, the Pats have 68 players singed. They also have the 7 draft picks.. So that's 15 other players who will be signed. Be it UDFA, UFA or SFA.
I just checked the roster out and it doesn't look like they're strong at LB. They have plenty of players but not a lot of quality there. I don't see much mention of LB as a need. What am I missing?Actually, the Pats have 68 players singed. They also have the 7 draft picks.. So that's 15 other players who will be signed. Be it UDFA, UFA or SFA.
You think Metcalf is worth 5 picks or whatever.Again, I don't see how Metcalf gets traded for anything less than what Hill was traded for.

Appreciate the responses ...

I think the most he'll go for is a 1st & 3rd but we'll see.
Anyway if we got lucky and landed him for 54 this looks a whole lot different imo and can certainly compete with the rest of the division in terms of targets.

Mid-Late RD pick - Velus Jones, K Phillips or W Robinson. Jones & Phillips are intriguing bc of their YAC, ST play and blocking abilities.
For those that don't know or haven't heard of Velus Jones he's a fun prospect. Blocks his butt off. Slot/return man that runs pretty smooth routes. Tough kid with lots of yac ability.
You want this guy on your team
