Very affordable wtf is our plan.
Looking like we will field a competitive team but no means a Superbowl roster. Next year is the one where I see us swinging for the fences. We going to have a lot of cap space and no dead money either

Keene was a decent FB in college I guess (Bleacher Report LOL)...

STRENGTHS

—Great depth addition; can play H-back, fullback, in-line, slot and special teams, and could probably play defense, too.
—Good vision to find his blocking assignment and keep them out of the play; was the lead blocker on most Virginia Tech runs.

Facts. Keene always played with great violence and agression in college. I always thought he could be a modern Larry Centers type player.

Are you mocking the Patriots? Trading their best offensive lineman because they wanted more late round draft picks??
Not mocking the Pats. My thought is that they wanted to put Onwenu into the lineup somewhere and maybe they think Onwenu isn't a RT nor a LG, but a RG. So, shipping off Mason clears some money and we get a five out of it.

At some point, our in-house guys need to take a leap forward. We can't soley acquire talent in free agency...it is not sustainable. We need to hit home runs here and there....

At the moment we are not competitive.

People said that the 2001 Roster wouldn't amount to anything.. Just remember that.

Damn, Jakob was progressing well. Not yet Devlin, but getting there

Go watch the film and you will see that this is not true. Unfortunately he regressed (incl snap count) . and i really like him as a story.
He was not at the level of NE FB . he was not making necessary impact and playing with FB last yr was mainly not productive.

I wish Jakob all the best but im glad Pats are moving on either fielding impactful FB or just playing around it..

I can't stop salivating over the prospect of Myles Jack coming in. What's the board's thoughts on Robinson vs Jack if you had to chose?

Josh McDaniels apparently saw his play differently.

could you post the differences (stats wise) in the running game for when they did and didn't have Johnson in the game? Be appreciated....

Define competitive. The way the line looks im not sure Mac makes it through week 10.

Jack signed with Pitt..

i hope Pats bring back Ben Mason. Loved him coming out of the draft. He was on our PS last year.

With the Pats not tendering Olszewski, it is time for me to again bang the Harry-for-Reagor-trade drum again:

a.) Harry gets a change of scenery for the final year on his rookie deal.

b.) Reagor comes with one more year on his rookie deal and we don't have to p/u the 5th year option.

c.) Reagor would be replacing Gunner at PR/KR. And is already a more accomplished NFL receiver.

d.) We would then fill Harry's spot in free agency or the draft or with Tre Nixon.

Gunner is a JAG. They can find someone who can return punts and be a better receiver for this offense.
He is an elite returner. He also is really a defensive back who they shoehorned into receiver because that group was far weaker on the Patriots.
