Also, you realize of course that Favre completely f***ed up that NFCCG? With the game tied late in the 4th-quarter he had a receiver wide open, or he could have ran for 10 yards, which would have put them in position for a game-winning FG, but instead he threw a pass across his body and right into the arms of a DB. Typically Favre. Game went to overtime and they lost.

Who cares about rookie years. He didn't develop. He can be easily replaced.

Not only waiting like this is a good strategy to not overpay too much but it also works on the culture. Top dogs often get an attitude as if they finally made the big time and now they can just take home the $$$ and glide. On the other hand...signing players that had to wait to get "scraps" are more often then not pissed off and want to prove they are better or just as good as those top dogs. The draft works the same way...ie Brady.

More than a JAG at punt returner but seemingly has made mo progress as a receiver and wasn’t nearly as impactful as a returner last year.

I love the kid and have been rooting hard for him (how couldn’t you with his attitude and story) but we’ll have to agree to disagree about his ability to catch the ball. If he was making plays in practice against the 1s we likely would have seen him get some run at WR in pass heavy sets.
