NFL Free Agency 2022 edition

This one might only interest me. Another Cap Casualty.. Bills OG Jon Feliciano. Has issues staying healthy the last 2 years. Could be a low risk/high reward type signing with NLTBE bonuses for Games played..

Wonder if they will look at Christian Kirk, would be an ideal slot/deep threat guy. Could be around 12-15m

Stay away from Landon Collins. He was tied for most allowed TD's in the NFL last year with 8. Had close to or career worsts in other areas.

Who tied for 2nd with 7 TD's allowed?

It's this board new favorite player to defend Jalen Mills!

I doubt it. He isn't the quick and shifty type of slot the Pats usually like.

Trey Flowers???? Any thoughts? I'm all for improving our team, especially along the d-line!!!

I would love to bring Trey Flowers back, he's not going to get a bunch of stats/sacks, but he is excellent with his hands always maintains gap integrity. He might not be the type of player that flashes but he's a perfect scheme fit.

I'd expect Bill to focus on the front 7, and get some placeholder corners. I know there has been a lot in the media about the Pats adding receivers but my experience as a Pats fan tells me that Belichick prefers to shop in the bargain bin for that position.

Question is if he’s still the same player he was in NE. He could always play the run well, and we really could use that. If he still has something in the tank, could be a great signing to pair opposite of Judon.

My question and hesitation though - It’s not like he went to a random team and didn’t play well. He went to Matt Patricia’s team in 2019 and 2020. Why was Patricia not able to get the same production out of him there that they were able to get out of him here?

He was over paid thanks to Fat Matt convincing the Lions owner saw that a mile away. Shouldn't be a problem about money now Trey Flowers made a lot of it I would love him back where it all started.

I'm thinking it was because of injuries.

Remember what you said up ^ there that way or avenue works with the GOAT who isn't coming through that door IT won't fly with Mac...two completely different players.

The last couple of seasons Flowers got 3.5 sacks and only 14 games played out of 33 in total. Also seems to have disappeared as a pass rusher. The Lions run defense has also been terrible the last couple of years so he hasn't helped much there either.

Eh. I think the Pats can do better than this but maybe he can be had at a team friendly price.

Some Defensive players click with BB: Flowers is still in his late prime.

Re: Flowers
He'll be 29 when season starts. One year prove-it deal in a familiar system would boost his stock. He's been hurt last two years so doubt he gets a multi-year deal. He could come back but could also go to Vegas. Not sure what kind of interest Pittsburgh has.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Flowers come here for an one year rehab his reputation year like Jamie Collins did a few years back.
