Trade for Andy Isabella?

I don't understand what's so controversial about this? Higher draft pick? Check. Better production (meager though it may be, which tells you how unproductive Isabella has been) in the league? Check. I'm not even saying Harry has a LOT of value, just that Isabella has next to none either based on what he's done thus far.

Dude Isabella was on a Team with far more talent some of you are unbelievable.

They should entertain a Trade for him after a workout in shells and shorts Harry really looks the part. just don't with the pads in.

Damiere Byrd beat out Isabella for the #3 WR role in 2019 and Pats fans thought Byrd sucked in 2020 because Cam Newton couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn. Isabella hasn’t done anything since.

As an aside Hunter Henry is better than any TE the Cards have. Agholor is as good as any WR they have not named Hopkins.

Why are we desperate to add Isabella to the team? There’s lots of WR’s in the draft and available in free agency.

We may not even have to trade for him. I doubt there's a ton of interest around the league on him, my money is on the Cardinals having to cut him. And if so, he's spoken about interest in joining the Patriots and would be coming back to where he played college ball.

I also think, after three years in the league, Harry has slightly more perceived value around the league than Isabella does. So while I wouldn't bat an eye at trading him straight up (and I've advocated for that in the past), I also think based purely on value that the Cardinals should also send the Pats a late round pick in that deal. We all want Harry gone (and I think rightfully so), but other teams probably see a former first rounder who wasn't utilized properly. I think they might view that as being worth more than an Andy Isabella who has fewer career catches than Harry had in 2020 with Newton as his QB.

I would love to get Isabella + a pick, but I think a trade even up works. Harry has a bigger contract for the Cards to take on so that takes care of the more perceived value.

I don't know if we'll ever really get to prove this for sure, but my money says other teams think Harry is a better guy to take a flyer on than Isabella. My point was that's not a high bar to clear.

Henry’s better and 4 years younger.

Agholor is already in the last year of his deal. This notion that his contract is an albatross hanging around their necks isn’t accurate. They could trade him tomorrow easily if they didn’t think he was a fit.

Mac needs to improve so they can get real production from the weapons they signed in 2021, it had nothing to do with quality of weapons.

No he didn't. There's also only one reason to compare Welker to Isabella, and it has nothing to do with football.

Not to point to any skill of Isabella, but one of the problems with trying to fit Isabella into the Cardinals scheme is that he's short (listed at 5'9"). Since Murray is a dwarf of a QB (listed at 5'10"), that's a very bad combination. Murray can't see him when in the pocket, and Murray's not going to look for the WR4/WR5/WR6 when he's scrambling.

Hopkins - 6'1"
Kirk - 5'11"


Maybe he doesn't have the specific skill set of Moore (5'7") as a short receiver. Maybe there's a chemistry thing. Or maybe he just blows chunks. But I don't think we're ever going to really know until he works with a QB who doesn't have to worry about the "You must be this tall" signs in amusement parks. And he did manage to come down with 21 receptions on 35 targets in his second year, while playing behind Hopkins, Fitzgerald, and Kirk.
