My argument is it was a done deal before Flo interviewed and it is possible the Giants are lying. So your argument is that if they made up their mind to offer the job to Daboll but he had not accepted it, then continuing to interview is a sham? What if he took the saints job, or the Houston job?
And somehow the facts almost always land on the side of the white guys. Why is that? It’s not about black or white, it’s about the facts.
Absolutely. The fact is you're The Great White Hope. Decision made. No contract needed. Congratulations. It’s not about black or white, it’s about the facts.
That’s not true. And somehow the facts almost always land on the side of the white guys. Why is that?
And you are the great white dope.Absolutely. The fact is you're The Great White Hope. Decision made. No contract needed. Congratulations.
But the timeline doesn’t work. The text was Tuesday, Daboll interviewed Wednesday and Flores interviewed Thursday. My argument is it was a done deal before Flo interviewed and it is possible the Giants are lying.
It does make sense if we believe there was a conversation with Daboll before BBs texts , the zoom and before Flores. But the timeline doesn’t work. The text was Tuesday, Daboll interviewed Wednesday and Flores interviewed Thursday.
I have no doubt Daboll was the favorite, but he wasn’t hired until Friday.
What are they lying about?
RIP Jerry Quarry. I always liked him. Poster boy for CTEAndy is The Great White Hope of Patsfans.
Not an attorney, but all they have to look at is the number of potential black coaches, coordinators, ex HC in the pipeline that never get hired aside from sham interviews to get around a toothless rule created to get around these discriminatory practices.
Of the 7 openings for HCs in 2021, one was filled by a Black man. Over the previous 4 cycles, there were 27 openings, only 3 Black men became HC.
This season is another example with 9 openings, 6 have been filled by white guys. Two had SB wins.
Giants: Daboll (OC)
Bears: Matt Eberflus (DC)
Broncos: Nathaniel Hackett (OC)
Raiders: Josh McDaniels (OC, SB)
Vikings: Kevin O’Connell (OC)
Jaguars: Doug Pederson (ex HC, SB)
Saints:
Texans:
Dolphins:
Black candidates:
Todd Bowles, (DC, ex HC, SB)
Jim Caldwell (ex HC)
Brian Flores, (ex HC, SB)
Byron Leftwich (OC, SB)
Eric Bieniemy (OC, SB)
Jerod Mayo (LB coach, SB)
Leslie Frazier (DC, ex HC)
Vance Joseph (DC, ex HC)
Raheem Morris (DC, ex HC) Patrick Graham (DC)
There's a ton of experience from these black candidates, including coaching on SB winning teams and HC experience. Yet there's talk of Texans going with Josh McCown, longtime NFL QB with ZERO coaching experience.
I'm not sure this lawsuit goes anywhere given how powerful the NFL is and they'll certainly circle the wagons, but it's undeniable that black men have very little chance of being promoted.
I'm not white. And you are the great white dope.
I'll repeat. 1 black NFL coach is an embarrassment
There are two black OCs that recently won SBs. There are two black ex HCs that recently won SBs. Those 4 have more experience than several of the white guys hired. This is the continued pattern in the NFL. Making a case about their discriminatory hiring practices given the actual record is a slam dunk. They just have to get there. It'll be tough with the NYFL judges. One important thing to mention here that I think is getting missed is teams right now are looking mostly at OCs to be their HC because of the offensive focus of the NFL. Most of the black coaches come up through the defensive side of the ball which also hurts their chances because of the way the league has changed.
Is that Johnny Damon's dad?Andy is The Great White Hope of Patsfans.
The rest of it isn’t disputableI'm not white.
You can’t on one hand say it’s an old boys network and on the other hand say only experience matters.
I hope the 3 remaining HC positions go to white guys, especially to McCown with ZERO coaching experience during Black History month. That'll shine a bright light on the NFL hypocrisy about diversity.
