Jones Should Be Greatly Improved In 2022

That's hilarious Imagine being a Bills fan and thinking your OC is the reason the running game sucks
I've been a Patriots fan since 1976, on these Pats boards since the 1990s, you?

After all, this should be expected in the second year with a solid QB coach, a solid OC, and a top 10 group of WR's.
Top 10 group of WR? On what planet

Thought you might have someone in mind. And I wanted your opinion at no charge. ️
I do not watch enough college football to have a name. Even if I watched every college game 24/7 I still would not have enough information to recommend a player.

There is somebody out there. The best WR in the NFL today was taken with the 69th pick. Cooper Kupp ;played at Eastern Washington. This Super Bowl is only the 2nd time in NFL history where 2 # 1 pick QBs are facing off.

Mac Jones is a much smarter QB than Josh Allen though. Mac can improve his arm strength. Allen can't get smarter.
You just watched the GOAT beat out Bledsoe (a guy with superior physical tools) for the starting job and outclass every QB in the league for two decades (many of whom had better physical tools) on his way to dominating the league through sheer will, competitiveness and work ethic. But somehow in your mind, Mac will never be better than or as good as a guy who's won nothing. Yet here you are to lecture everyone on what makes a good QB. Right after ignoring what happened here for 20 years.
Wow.
I’m literally trying to ignore any post that compares Mac Jones to Tom Brady. Please stop.

I invite you to look at my original post about Patriot fans having no idea what good quarterback play is.

/S in the OP generally sets up a thread to bring out the worst in us.

Jones does have a new unexpected challenge with a new offensive coaching staff. Given how well he performed in the cognitive aspects of the game as a rookie, he's as well suited to solve that. I think/hope that the increase in processing speed that is normal for QB's to gain from year 1 to 2, and then again from year 2 to 3, will more than offset that.

And yeah, the defense looks like it'll soak up most of the investment money this year, which is a shame because an improvement over Agholor and an explosive 3rd down back would give Jones an excellent set of skill players on offense. Let's hope that one of those happens.

Weren't you Bill's fans talking about a dynasty? How's that working out for you?
Maybe I should go necrobump all my 2014 threads about how moving on from Tom Brady would ruin and kill this entire fanbase.

We can see who had some idea of what they were talking about, and who ****ing didn’t.

Well I wish your team well. Bills fans have been a very loyal group during a LONG stretch of bad times. You deserve some good times. I would have rooted for them to win it all...IF they had gotten out of divisional week.l. But I guess lasting one more week than the Pats IS like winning the superbowl for Bills fans, Am I right?
Yeah, now I’m a Bills fan because I know Mac Jones ****ing sucks compared to Josh Allen.

Good ****ing Lord, Red Sox fans MASQUERADING as Pat fans are ****ing insufferable AND ALWAYS ****ING HAVE BEEN.

No wonder Tom doesn’t like you.

Our fanbase is literally oblivious to what makes a good quarterback, who is a good quarterback, and who will be a good quarterback.

Bunch of us wanted to move on to Jimmy G / were happy to move from Tom / thought Tom was finished from like 2012 on / entertained Matt Cassel discussions after 2008 / now think Mac Jones is a franchise quarterback.

Spoiler alert: Josh Allen and Mac Jones will never be in the same category. Buffalo is going to continue to get more solid, more reliable, more dominant, because with their quarterback, you don’t have to pretend. You can literally just watch it happen, on television, right in front of you, in real time.
Spoiler alert, you're a moron

The people claiming Brady would never be in the same hemisphere as Peyton were always obviously wrong lol
Yep.

Which is why it's not crazy to think Jones could be as good as Allen.

Right now it seems unlikely because of what transpired in the past month etc.

But things can always change.

Wow.
Mac isn't "much smarter" than Allen.

Allen has improved a lot in that regard.

What makes Allen scary is the fact that he has the "physical tools", AND the football IQ.

It's too early to definitively tell Mac's ceiling though.

Imagine joining the forum during the “Cam era” for anti-Brady diatribes and telling people that have been here 10-20 years they’re Bills fans.

The mods are really about 8 years late to the game here.

It's a certainty Mac isn't Brady and will never be Brady. I also wouldn't count on Mac ever being the best QB in the league. And that's fine. We can win with the right team around him.

Pats got their nuts caved in by Alex Smith in recent years - twice. Alex. Smith.

Pats can definitely win with someone like that.

I'm excited to see what Mac turns into next year, including improving his physique. I'm just a little bemused that he left Alabama - the 33rd NFL team - with that dad bod. Do QBs not have to lift weights?

He said Allen can’t get smarter
Just wanted to let it sink

I like how we’re just declaring that Mac has some super high football IQ that other obviously-superior quarterbacks in the league and division also conveniently lack.
Like, what a great fable. It’s so nice and peaceful here.

Apparently the future couldn’t be brighter. Can’t wait to revisit this trash after he’s a back-up somewhere and we’re on to the next one.

You’re a goblin. Probably way overweight, physically destroyed from alcoholism, and utterly unappealing to look at.

You’re a moron, too.

Why do I care what you think?
You shouldn't, but you obviously do

Can't wait until you stop posting on this forum

I don't think there's enough evidence one way or the other to say Mac is the guy or not. Let's see what happens next season. If he is our future, then I'm expecting improvement.
