Semi OT: Flores suing NFL and NYG. Texts from Bill involved in the suit.

I honestly believe Flores. I think this happens a lot in the league but Flores was the first to rat out an owner.
I believe him too but it may be confirmation bias on my part, plus I like the guy.

OT: Is it OK to post that you like an ex-Patriot coach here in the main forum? I know that liking an ex-Patriot HOF bound GOAT QB is grounds for exile to an obscure Forum. :)

Accusations? Spell check is a b!tch.

Yes, Flores is all in. His lawyer knows all this so I am guessing that is why the class action "hail mary" is added in.
If they focus on tanking issue this could have ramifications over professional sports. I wonder who is going to give Sam Hinkie a buzz?

The $100k per loss to get a better draft pick is absolutely as bad as anything the Patriots have ever lost draft picks over. Take the Dolphins' first round pick and then some.
I'm shocked! You think that an owner taking money from fans and then paying his coach to lose is worse than deflating footballs?!? Don't be ridiculous!

This is the problem when you get into bed with gambling. The NFL didn't just get with gambling for a one night stand either, they are in it long hard and deep.

So when an owner instructs his HC to lose, then you have game fixing (ask any Boston College alumni, they are well versed in this subject). This could lead to RICO charges, and all kinds of hurt.

The NFL might have to "Gruden" Ross, that is to make him the sacrificial lamb so that the rest of them do not get slaughtered.

Obvioulsy the Dolphins are guilty of tampering with Brady, of course nothing will come of that

it's getting bigger....

For future reference, so you can “learn how the board works” when you quote a post in your reply, it is understood that your response is made with respect to the content of the post you quoted. You know because that’s how everyone in the world would read it.
You're hopelessly confused about this board and how it works. Deus responded to my post on Steve B. versus Flores and I responded that Flores is the more qualified one. That's how it works.

I never wrote a single word about Pederson.

I think this happens. I mean, the Colts. Caldwell was the coach.

What possible reason did Caldwell have to start those players that year?

I mean, Curtis Painter was his QB. Why did he start him?

It's insane.

Sumthin about this felt a little passive/run for officey… he should’ve replaced the “I’m from the ghetto/I believe in” with specific facts from the dolphins personnel decisions and how he won despite being set up for failure. Mentioning other black coaches wouldn’t have hurt either.

Just feels like he wasn’t coached up well enough.

Ppl fail to bring up history in discussions like these and make patterns. They gave him an excellent opportunity with the plantation question. Tell them how the nfl is racist instead of saying “the #s speak for themselves”.

They were falling over themselves to look woke by interrupting him. Really can’t stand Gayle.

Is the $100K payment to lose games illegal, against league policy, or just a ****ty thing to do?

Ask a season ticket holder that question. A season ticket in the "72 Club" - Miami's lower box seats - range from $17,500 per seat to $35,000 per seat. How many people pay that kind of money to watch a game fixed by the owner? If I were a season ticket holder, I'd sue.

Woa.

So Big Baby Huey has the goods...

Goodell must step down or be removed.

Goodell must step down or be removed.

He'll survive this. If he survived his blatant mishandling of domestic abuse issues this will be a walk in the park. He's teflon

This actually tells me that Flores is an incredible coach considering how well his teams performed despite everyone above him apparently actively working against him.
Plus he clearly has guts and courage. Not only will be be blackballed now, what the NFL and their lawyers will do to him and his reputation is going to be really, really ugly, I hope he doesn't have any skeletons in his closet. It is hard for me to believe he would subject himself to this type of thing for any type of lawsuit payout (what amount of money would be worth the complete loss of his reputation and doing the job he loves?) unless he truly believed he was serving the greater good. If nothing else I bet there will be more transparency in hiring in the future.

Oh fat chance of that happening, he's made it this far, why would he be fired now?

I believe him on the Miami stuff too but doubt he can prove it. The suing the Broncos and Giants part loses credibility though. Legally they owe him nothing, not an interview and not a job. His pride may have been offended that they did not treat him the way he wants to be treated but that is a him issue. If he had just gone after Miami the NFL may well have helped but his firebomb approach, although it may result in a go away payoff, puts the NFL in the position of protecting Miami.

How many #1 draft picks should this cost Miami and possibly Cleveland?

I vote: #1's every year until these owner sells their teams

Pats should be handed Waddle as compensation for tampering with Brady if thats found to be the case. If they don't want to do that I think a 1st and 4th round pick and about a million dollars is ample compensation.

Great point about Pederson, definitely more qualified than Flores.

They aren't the Patriots. Nothing is going to happen.
