Semi OT: Flores suing NFL and NYG. Texts from Bill involved in the suit.

Or…………. He’s playing the ROLE of an old fool who doesn’t know who he’s texting. When in fact, he knew exactly who was receiving the text…. Because he sees this is BS and Flores > Daboll. Wasn’t Flores congratulated a thousand times as he left, whereas there was a bit of a tiff with Daboll ?
I wondered about that too... is the old chess and checkers thing?

I haven't gone through the whole thread, so forgive me if this is redundant. But everyone I've read seems to read the BB-Flores exchange as Bill thinking he was texting Daboll but accidentally texting Flores. From the line, "Sorry, I misread the text", that sounds more to me like he got a text from whoever his source is, saying something like, "We're going to hire Brian" and Bill assumed it meant Brian Flores. Never good to assume, but that's a big difference from him not knowing who he was talking to. Also, the assumption might indicate he thinks Flores is a better coach than Daboll.

I know that's not the most important part of this story, but I think you guys have the rest of it covered and I wouldn't want to chime in without all 32 pages of context here anyway.

I think Flores got a raw deal in Miami and I am sympathetic to his lawsuit. I’d like to see him get paid. I just cringe at someone who plays the slavery card (and make no mistake, that’s exactly what he is doing by comparing the League to a “plantation”) to make their point.

We live in a world where slavery still exists, but it is an insult to tell me those multi-millionaires who live lives of fame and fortune are among them.

“The NFL is a plantation! But I am so mad they won’t bring me on it that I am going to sue…”

He gave congrats to Brian Flores for getting the Giant job when he hadn't interviewed yet...he meant to text Dabol

See, this is what I'm talking about two posts up. I want to make sure we get this right: I think Bill thought the text he received referred to Flores, so he texted him, when it really referenced Daboll. He screwed up which Brian his source was talking about, not which Brian he had in his phone. "I misread the text" doesn't sound to me like "I misread the text of the name of the person I'm talking to".

Flores on Get Up now.

This makes alot of sense and is a great theory.

This is true and a good point. However he also says ‘i heard from nyg and buffalo’ so why would buffalo be involved in the convo if he wasn’t talking to daboll (in his mind)? Im still unsure who he thinks he was talking to

Care to explain? What do you think the reason is? They already met the Rooney rule requirements.

You don’t understand the Rooney rule, do you? NFL teams are required to interview two minority candidates from OUTSIDE the organization. The Giants interviewed Leslie Frazier and Patrick Graham, but Graham was an in house candidate. The Flores interview was meant to satisfy the Rooney rule.

I hope this is a catalyst to burn the whole thing down.

I can't see Flores coming back to the Pats now. Kraft is too much of team player with the league to ever hire a guy who is suing multiple owners.

I hope Flores gets a chance somewhere...he may have to end up going to a college team and then coming back to the NFL once things cool down though. He really is an excellent coach. It's not his fault that the Dolphins owner forced him to draft Tua over Herbert...

Yeah, it's hard for me to think that he just has a bunch of first names in his contacts list and then texts any Brian on the list. lol
