The NFL is entertainment for me, specifically the Pats.
It's electronic images on a screen.
I loved watching Brady and comparing him and the coaching to the other sideline. If you counted 1...2...3...you knew Brady had enough time and was going to carve up the other team. I enjoyed watching other head coaches pee their pants during crunch time. Their poor clock management. The other team making dumb calls and getting dumb penalties at crucial times. It wasn't just the winning, it was how the whole package was so buttoned up compared to the rest. We may not see that again, but we can hope.
Now the Pats are not so tight. They are the ones taking the dumb penalties and making bad calls.
I expect BB to right the ship. He always has. I look forward to watching Mac's and the team's development.
When Brady moved on, so did I. He no longer plays for the Patriots.
You all can argue about whose fault it was until your gonads fall off. No one here knows how it actually went down.
The end was inevitable. We were always going to see Brady in another uniform, ala Joe Montana or Bobby Orr.
There was always going to be a cost vs value with BB.
I am sincerely happy he got out on top instead of lingering with diminished skills or due to a crippling injury.
I'm glad he retired and put a bow on it. It's over.
I hated seeing him in that ridiculous uniform.
Brady owes me nothing and I owe him no loyalty.
I have my own life. It's interesting enough for me with beautiful scenery, close encounters with bears, and killing things for clean meat.
I appreciate the great run and all he did during his time here.
I'm sure he will also make it right with the Patriots organization in due time.
