Tom Brady Retires (Update: Shouts out to Pats players, coaches on social media)

Maybe the fans shouldn’t have boo’d him when he came back in week 4 IMO. Did Colts fans boo Manning I can’t remember.

Brady's reception in Foxborough was overwhelmingly positive. I even saw a bunch of people on TV with GOAT masks. If he's going to be sensitive to a few people booing him, he's got other issues. People booed him last summer at Peyton's HOF induction and he took issue with that. He's just an overly-sensitive person, it would seem.

lol he didn't think the patriots. or the new england fans.

LOLOL

Feel the exact same as when Larry Legend retired.

Gonna miss watching him play.

If there isn't some kind of "Tom Brady Day" here in MA and with the Patriots treating his retirement with grace, elegance and with all the appropriate respects i'll be the greatest (non game-related) tragedy in Boston sports history.

I wouldn't be surprised if he issues a supplemental retirement post thanking NE now after all the backlash...

I've been saying for many years that these athletes don't give a s h i t about you, me, or any of the fans. We pay a portion of their salaries and that's it. Fandom is not a 2 way street with athletes. If Brady does not acknowledge his fans from New England (spare me the "He did said bye 2 years ago!) upon his retirement from the league it just cements what I've been thinking all along...and to think all the support we gave him when Goodelll and the league were going after him...do the right thing Brady and give Pats fans a 14 page instagram thank you and buh bye

I cannot understand the emotional attachment of fans. He's a great player and I loved watching him perform and win for NE.
Eh. Those who don’t have an “emotional attachment” to Brady just show signs of an “emotional attachment” to BB. There’s no difference.

Brady was the red headed stepchild, the black sheep to the Patriots organization in January 2020. Kraft said he loved him like a son right before being OK with him leaving. Kraft threw Tom under a bus during defamegate.

Tampa welcomed him with open arms. He's adored there by the fans. It would've been weird to mention the Pats while retiring as a Bucs player.

Nevertheless, TFB is a class act and will do something special for the NE fans that adored him and still do. His former Pats teammates loved him. He'll honor playing with them. He values relationships more than people think.

Celtics didn’t give up on Larry even when it was objectively obvious he was cooked. Which was the right thing to do. Patriots did the opposite and bailed on Brady when he had more to give.

Farewell Tom. GOAT. Will always remember the great Memories.
When Tom left us we felt the pain that day. Him retiring today is painful for Bucs fans and their players. That is why I think he did not mention NE on this day. He is putting the emphasis on his current team and he made it about them.
I think in the near future it will be our turn and after his current contract has expired. He will un-retire for a day and retire a Patriot
