2022/2023 Patriots Roster Transaction Thread

This is a head scratcher to me. You got playing time WITH the Patriots. So now you moved to a team that doesn't even have a coaching staff and you have no idea how you will be used.

This tells me the player does not envision himself at all as a Patriots style defender, so now he's gone. Which is a good thing, I guess.

Maybe Bill didn’t like the tape.

Or he is hoping that, with a new staff, he'll get a fresh start.

1) Maybe he thinks that he has a better chance to make the 53 with MIA.

2) Maybe he was offered a bit more by MIA (perhaps more than nothing).

I'm not sure if futures contracts allow for anything more than minimums.

1/27/22:
Patriots sign Drew Desjarlais - OG - to a Reserve/Futures Contract.

Folks. This thread is only supposed to be for the actual transactions. Not talking about who we want to sign, the comp picks we might get, etc..
Good luck...

DB did the NFL just TAKE that 4th round pick, or will the rams be sending something to us next year as yet to be determined. BTW I thought that comp pick CAN be traded. Why not this one.

The NFL Ruled that a comp pick can't be traded BEFORE it's awarded. In other words, the Contingency that the Rams/Pats agreed to was not legal even though there was nothing in the rules that stated it wasn't legal. As a result, the Patriots are getting the Rams 6th this year and a 4th in 2023.

We can thank Herr Goodell for that BS.

That 6th is a seventh.. hopefully Rams get super bowl hangover and really screw up so that the 4tg round next year is a early pick..

I don’t think we tendered Crevon Leblanc.
Raiders have signed Leblanc this week.
