Antonio Brown accuses Bucs of wanting him to play on injured ankle (update: finally released)

It is clear that unfortunately AB has serious mental health problems that have little chance of being treated.
It's clear he's a jackass and a prima donna. I wouldn't conclude that translates to serious mental health issues.

Isn’t it amazing how these women who would have no shot of being a real model, have unlocked the cheat code on IG from simps/incels and are making tons of money posting pics of their teets and azz? They are now known as an “IG model” which makes no sense. How about “Only Fans” the accidental porn site? Lol. These women are making it rain.
She's just using her "assets" to get ahead in life. Good on her. If we weren't such prudes, we'd have commercial licensed brothels so it could be done clean and safe. Instead we have this Puritan blue-law world where the fact she can do what has been done for thousands of years is viewed as getting away with something. The tacit naughtiness of it all helps johns get their rocks off even more and makes it easier for her to cash in on what is a basic service. I feel the same way about a rich old guy who gets himself a HJ from an aging Asian lady. Everyone involved is a consenting adult. The only ones bothered by it are judgmental prudes.

Yeah at some point maybe it's fair to ask that AB may be a horrible person?

I think that point has long passed. Seems Everytime AB does something ****ty it's passed off as "oh that's mental illness!"

My initial stance and present stance is to legalize for consenting adults. However lately I am not at all comfortable with the all too prevalent human trafficking and exploitation side of prostitution.
Back to football.

Folks are understandably confused. I'm familiar with head injuries and consequent very much changed behavior and "mental illness".
A self-absorbed a-hole can have mental illness on top of their awful personality just as a fine person can have the debilitating illness.
AB is a major league jerk but with (likely concussion induced) serious mental problems exacerbating what might have remained hidden from view.

Prima donna jackasses can have issues with CTE too.

But not everyone with CTE acts like a complete A-hole. This behavior started long before he had CTE.

Dismissing everything the guy does as "oh it's just mental illness" is a disservice and a cop out to absolve him of how he acts.

Is what he is saying not true? Will Brady even talk to AB if he was not good at his job? Will Brady take someone like N'Keal Harry and let him stay in his house? Bring him to Tampa?
This take is actually a sign that he has some intelligence

He's right in a way. But Brady has stuck up for him multiple times. Even went out of his way after the game to say let's be emphatic. And AB throws him under the bus.

At the same time, would someone be granted so many chances if not for his talent? Dude had been cut from 4 teams in 3 years by 4 super bowl winning coaches.

His injury statement just got a bunch of holes in it with this. He's making BA credible

His lawyer must be shaking his head. All that damage control out the window

You know, I think there is a more nuanced take in form of:

AB has clearly had questionable behavioral issues that suggest mental illness from a young age. However, it's frustrating that - unlike most with mental illness - he has clearly been given every opportunity. The question at this point is: why do we have systems that prioritize AB's ability to get on the field over getting him whatever help he needed long ago? Because when someone is as talented as AB, folks like coaches, team owners, and agents do everything they can to keep that under wraps because they make hella money off good players.

This isn't to absolve him, but let's not ignore the fact that folks will happily let his **** run amok if it gets them what they want. And it's all to convenient for them because when he ****s up, he takes the blame and those invested in him get off relatively scott-free. And it makes sense people get frustrated when seeing AB act out because most people would never be afforded the longitude he has. I think we prolly all think the same thing any time this happens with... you know, whatever fits the mold of "someone/something that does bad stuff that'd normally get all of us fired, but for some reason gets away and even paid more sometimes"

I dunno. Nuanced takes in this are never sexy, never binary, and unfortunately indict a lot more than just one individual.

Maybe not, but Vincent Jackson went from a Walter Payton Award type of person to drinking himself to death.

And to be clear, I think both situations (he's a flaming piece of crap narcissist who happens to be struggling with CTE) are true.

He should've just stayed quiet. There's a alarming amount of people that believe him over the injury.

He talked about the injury as well
And he'll continue to do so cause that's his stance. But he's openly complaining about money and not being the #1 target which coincides with what the Tampa Bay stance is.

It’s most likely all of them but AB isn’t smart enough to keep up the injury angle if not true and we know how Tampa is with injuries
