Does Brady win NFL MVP in 2021

  • Yes

  • No

I think its more about Rodgers cares more about MVP's than brady does. For some unknown reason Rodgers has a high td number and a low yards number, which tells me his run game is getting them down the field and then he throws 4 times at the goal line. I know he missed a game but he is almost 1000 passing yards behind Brady. Brady is not upset about handing off at the goalline. He cares just as much about a running td as a passing one. I do not think GB is near as good as people think. I watched that Browns game. They won by 2 and baker had 4 picks. GB kept going 3 and out and giving the ball back to the browns and baker just kept giving it right back. Even a decent offense wins that game going away.

That’s every MVP season for Rodgers. And when he’s not having a great year, he just quits.

The problem with this analysis is that GB's rush offense is ranked 21st in the league, while their passing offense is significantly higher at 11th. If Rodgers was letting his RBs do all the work in getting the ball into the red zone and then throwing dink TD passes, GB's rush offense would be ranked much higher than their pass offense.

not that it matters anymore since voters won’t even look at things like this but FO has the Bucs offense facing the most difficult schedule of defenses in all of football. Packers are 19th

and about Rodgers and goal line td’s, last year he set the record for most 1 yard passing td’s. not sure what he’s at this year

It’s playing with fire because I really don’t want Mahomes to get another ring so early in his career BUT I would enjoy him making the Super Bowl this year only for him to lose it again to drop to 1-2. That’s a deep pit to recover from legacy wise. And yes, it’s dumb in a logical sense to think less of a player for losing in the championship game than if they had lost earlier. It was always so incredibly dumb that Montana got credit over Brady for being undefeated in the Super Bowl when Brady finally hit 4 rings as if 2 other appearances were a mark against him. But since people did it to Brady for a solid decade I don’t care if it’s hypocritical, I’ll enjoy it if either Mahomes or Rodgers loses in the Super Bowl. The nightmare scenario is if it’s Rodgers vs Mahomes though.
I love Mahomes the QB he's amazing and not really a prick off the field(except his wife and brother lmao) I just can't stand the KC Chiefs so I'd probably root for Rodgers in a nauseating way

Greenbays point differential is really weird too for having the best record in the league. They're ranked #11 with +59 point differential. The past 5 Superbowl champions have been at the minimum +100

Nah, **** Qaron. Mahomes is a good guy and fun to watch. I hate the Chiefs too. But Qaron is #1 on my hate list. This guy is such an arrogant and self-absorded douche.

Hill and Kelce alone make me root for Rodgers in that situation. I could care less on Rodgers or any person for that matter off the field stuff with the covid/political beliefs

The pro Rodgers crowd just pointed to his TD-INT ratio which is insane kudos to him he has been super hot the past two months. Brady lost it with the Saints game
Rodgers had a 13-1 TD-Int ratio in a season he went 6-9-1

Did AP have Christian Ponder the year he won it? That may have been a factor in him winning.
Yes. Also he was coming back from a torn ACL.

In the 2nd half of the season he had 1322 yards.

I went back to 1987 and looked at all the qb’s who won MVP and where their team ranked in scoring. 2008 Manning was the lowest I could find at 13th. Packers are at 13th this year

Agree.

Mahomes has annoyed me this season with his pointless attempts for flashy highlights, but I don’t believe he’s a bad teammate. In fact, he reminds me of Brady…I do believe he is all about the team and winning above all else, and it’s obvious his teammates are all-in on him, not just for his talent but for his attitude.. Rodgers is the biggest jackass I’ve observed as superstar QBs go.

Manning winning MVP in 2008 was the most “by default” award ever.
he's extremely lucky that Rivers went 8-8 that season (beat Manning and Colts in playoffs though)

Rivers and Chargers had some rough losses that year. their biggest loss was 9 points and they had 3 losses of 2 or fewer. Chargers also had more points scored, more points per drive, better DVOA

Brees threw for over 5k yards to lead the league, lead the league in TDs, and had a better QB rating then Manning in 2008 and didn’t get a single MVP vote.

Kurt Warner also led Manning in every statistical category and had a Feel Good Story going for him. Only got 1 vote.

I would not care about the COVID stuff if he was not such a jackass about it.

Plenty of players are unvaccinated and I do not have anywhere close to the same level of anger with them. I think Cole Beasley is a tool, but he is not an Aaron Rodgers level of tool. Beasley never lied and was very upfront about his beliefs. Rodgers lied and THEN, when caught, tried to play victim.

Correct. I think Lamar Jackson and Kirk Cousins are absolutely gigantic morons for not being vaxxed. But know what? They never freaking talk about it, especially not for an hour every single week on a podcast. So whatever, I really don’t care about them.

Both back in August said “I’m not vaccinated it’s a decision I made with my family and that’s all I have to say” which I think is dumb but whatever it’s their right under both the law and CBA. And since then have they said anything about it all? They told the truth and then just moved on. Rodgers on the other hand knowingly tried to lie via omission because it gets him off to be some mastermind and then when caught has only continued to be a Jackass.

The only thing that bothers me is they hurt their team, but yes, if you are not going to do it just shut up about it Rodgers is still going on and on about it.

If you watch GB games, Rodgers will take a sack unless guys are open, now with that said GB leads the league in most wide open pass catchers and the percentage to the second place team is wide. Rodgers has ruined drives by taking sacks, it has to be maddening to watch as a GB fan. Lucky this year they are facing bottom feeders for defenses.

He might be going for the record again. Here is an odd stat. He has 4 less td's than Brady but almost 1000 yards less. Meaning his run game gets them down the field and then he is throwing short goal line td's.

Again, I pointed out above that GB’s passing game is much better than their run game…and you didn’t respond.
