Does Brady win NFL MVP in 2021

  • Yes

  • No

Rodgers now slamdunk to win it. Rodgers is the new Manning. Everyone hates Brady too much and were waiting for a few games for him to slow down and he had only 1 TD in 2 weeks.

Race is over. Rodgers won.

Rodgers has been more consistent than Brady this season...if he didn't miss that one game he's probably have close to 35-36 TDs this season

Rodgers has only thrown 4 INT this season so that helps him immensely. As much as I hate the guy he's been lights out the past month or so. The Saints game really made this race over for TB12

Rodgers stat line against the Saints: 15-28, 133 yards, 2 INT, 3 points. Of course, he wasn’t missing his top 3 WRs and RB.

I don’t know if Brady should be MVP but Rodgers isn’t having an MVP season. The Packers are 13th in the league in points. 13th. The Packers running backs account for a larger percentage of the offense’s yards than the Bucs running backs. The Packers running backs have 7 TDs and the Bucs running backs have 14 TDs.

Rodgers will likely win it, but he’s had it easier than anyone else. Brady will face nine top-10 DVOA defenses whereas Rodgers faces just four, which is why Brady is way ahead in DYAR, adjusted for opponent. In addition, Rodgers has had to throw the ball 40+ times just once. Brady has had to throw 40+ ten times.

I hope they give it to Rodgers. Plays right into last year's scenario.

Johnathan Taylor and Cooper Kupp are having far more impressive seasons than Rodgers. Brady was having a great season, especially considering his age (yes I think that should be a factor) but injuries have ruined the Bucs.

A running back maybe, but a receiver is just flat out not as valuable as a QB. If its most vaulable, not sure that a player that touches the ball 10 times a game maybe can be mvp....speaking of Brady and Rodgers....here is a PFF list of which QB's played the best and most easy defenses this year...Ones on top are the most difficult. Brady was 2nd...Rodgers was 26th.

Currently Rodgers and Brady are tied in MVPs which is why I especially don’t want him to win it. And yes I know regular season accolades are for losers whatever but Brady getting to 4 to be in second place only behind Regular Season Darling Peyton Manning is simply more Just than Rodgers getting it.

It’s honestly amazing how odd the Packers season had been because their point differential is NOT usually that of a 3 loss team. So many close games where the other team just threw up over themsleves at the end to give the Packers a 3 point win.

and they have played the 22nd worst defenses in the league, while Brady has played the 2nd best.

Last season in 16 games the Packers had a point differential of 140 points. The offense specifically scored 509 points. Which makes perfect sense for a 13-3 team.

This season though 15 games they have a point differential of 54 points. The offense has scored just 369 points.

Anyone really want to argue this Packers team, at least on offense, is anywhere near as good as last season?

The pro Rodgers crowd just pointed to his TD-INT ratio which is insane kudos to him he has been super hot the past two months. Brady lost it with the Saints game

Their offense not as proficient as it was last year, but Rodgers missed one game due to covid (vs KC) and the Packers played poorly vs the Saints in week 1. On a normal day, they score at least 20-25 points in each of those games. So they should have about 425 points or so, which is closer to what the Chiefs had in 2019 and the Pats in 2018.

Yep the Covid game could hurt him or help him depending on the voter. The main thing he has going for him is the TD:INT ratio which is huge with the voters. I believe Brady had the same ratio in 2010 and he was unanimous

I don't ever hear anyone really mention Manning and his 5 MVPs anymore when it comes to Brady precisely because Brady not only has 3 of his own but 5 SB MVPs. It would have been nice for Brady to win it this year because he is 44 but Rodgers winning it only underscores how he is a regular season guy just like Manning and actually bolsters Brady's GOATness IMO.

Everyone is chasing Montana. Nobody is catching Brady in our lifetimes I feel like I can 99.999 % guarantee that.

It is amazing how much distance he has put between himself and the others. I was listening to the radio yesterday and Wiggy was talking about Rodgers potentially coming to NE and if the Pats should pursue him. He basically said that while he would want Rodgers, he has proven to not be a winner who can deliver rings and that the chasm between Brady and him and every other QB is enormous and yes he included Mahomes too. It was glorious.

It’s playing with fire because I really don’t want Mahomes to get another ring so early in his career BUT I would enjoy him making the Super Bowl this year only for him to lose it again to drop to 1-2. That’s a deep pit to recover from legacy wise. And yes, it’s dumb in a logical sense to think less of a player for losing in the championship game than if they had lost earlier. It was always so incredibly dumb that Montana got credit over Brady for being undefeated in the Super Bowl when Brady finally hit 4 rings as if 2 other appearances were a mark against him. But since people did it to Brady for a solid decade I don’t care if it’s hypocritical, I’ll enjoy it if either Mahomes or Rodgers loses in the Super Bowl. The nightmare scenario is if it’s Rodgers vs Mahomes though.

I am not sure Chiefs make it out of the AFC this year. Mahomes has been so shaky.

So why didnt rodgers lose it...with his saints game? Did he also lose his top 3 skill players in the game?

I think its more about Rodgers cares more about MVP's than brady does. For some unknown reason Rodgers has a high td number and a low yards number, which tells me his run game is getting them down the field and then he throws 4 times at the goal line. I know he missed a game but he is almost 1000 passing yards behind Brady. Brady is not upset about handing off at the goalline. He cares just as much about a running td as a passing one. I do not think GB is near as good as people think. I watched that Browns game. They won by 2 and baker had 4 picks. GB kept going 3 and out and giving the ball back to the browns and baker just kept giving it right back. Even a decent offense wins that game going away.
