OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

On the flip, at some point Mac is going to have to be THE guy for the Pats to advance in the playoffs. We will see if Bill let's him.

If Pat's can get the bye, they have a really good chance to get to the SB.
If they don't get, it would be very tough for rookie QB to take them all the way. There will be times where Mac will have to win in a shoot-out.

Right now, Kansas City is in the driver's seat to get to the Super Bowl from the AFC. This isn't the same Queefs team from last year.

This is really worth watching. Dan O. breaks down the game winning TD starting at the 2:30 mark. He talks about the blocking up front which was fantastic and then how the Bills play the perfect coverage but Brady beats it. He says this play happens once a season.

I can't figure KC out. The defense has definitely been carrying them, but what they been up against hasn't been the elite offenses. The offense has struggled to score on teams that are not the Raiders.

vs Giants Daniel Jones LOL
vs Packers Jordan Love
vs Raiders the only team that doesn't play Cover 2
vs Cowgirls no CeeDee, Cooper, banged up Elliot
vs Broncos Teddy B LOL
vs Raiders

And now they face the Chargers without Herbert's security blanket Ekeler

On the flip side you play whose on your schedule and they have been finding ways to win. Let's see what happens

Incorrect. We are. We have the top seed and #1 defense.

I am really enjoying these threads on the Saints forum. It is literally killing them that they could have had Brady last year and now have to watch their division rival have championship level success.

Brady increased his odds over Rodgers after yesterday's games.

Tom Brady strengthens his grip on MVP odds - ProFootballTalk (nbcsports.com)
As the season winds down we'll see how this plays out even though MVP is basically worthless. If Brady throws say 8 tds in 4 games (keep it low) no INTs but Rodgers (who is lobbying for MVP, what a dink) or someone else that gets hot in these last 4 games is what will matter the most. I think he would lose the MVP even though he would be at worst top 3 in all major categories and probably 1st in some. Of course if Brady gets to 50 and they go 4-0 he'll get it but it's stupid that he should have to do that. Take any of the other players that are in the 'hunt' and give them brady's stats (against MANY top defenses in DVOA, most of any QB) and the MVP race is already over.

I would disagree. Being the top seed and the #1 defense is great, but KC has an offense that is miles better than anything in the AFC right now. HFA against them in a potential AFCCG is helpful, but I don't think it's going to scare Mahomes or even the Titans with Derrick Henry. And as you said, Mac needs to step up his game and prove he can play against the best teams in the biggest moments.

Putting up nearly 50 points on any team in the NFL is no joke. KC has scored 40+ points three times this season. We'll learn more on Thursday vs LAC though.

KCs offense has not been nearly the same as last year except when playing the Raiders. Their defense has been playing a lot better but we still have the best Oline and run game. It will come down to Mac I think and his ability to play big in the big moments but every team has a question mark. Having the top seed and #1 defense gives us the best chance to get to the SB IMO.

Not to mention Belichick's defenses always gives Kermit fits! I personally would love to see what KC can do without the bye week or even as a wildcard!

In the playoffs I always give the edge to the more experienced and better QB over a team whose QB is not as talented or less experienced. It doesn't mean we won't beat them, it's just that I think KC is the team to beat in the AFC right now.

That's fair. But honestly, if any team comes into Foxboro and beats us, it will be a major disappointment.

If the Chargers win Thursday at home vs the Chiefs, they take the lead in the West and drop KC down to a WC.

I saw Mahomes interview the other day and was thinking that he sounds like a teen, so I just figured out the Kermit nickname lol.

Why are you interacting w/ Mortimer Porksley? He's a douchebag troll. He continues to post on the main thread that everyone here aren't Pats fans. He continues to bait and try to get posters of this thread banned. He's a f&cking loser and you're just giving him what he wants, attention.

He is an Ok poster when he actually wants to talk football. He seems better (I think) since he has come back from his ban. Not sure if it will last but I will engage if he is not blatant trolling.

Did you figure out that Tom has been to the Super Bowl 10 times (not 9) yet?
