OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

For whatever reason, the Bucs don’t like using the IR.

Bucs game will be shown here (MA) at 1:00 on Fox. Perfect day of football. Love when both Pats and Bucs are on at 1:00.

So many great games tomorrow. Remarkable how Thanksgiving could wind up with that **** fest.

Patriots-Titans
Bucs-Colts
Rams-Packers
Steelers-Bengals
Chargers-Broncos
Vikings-49ers
Browns-Ravens

Even the bad games mostly have evenly matched teams.

So did Michigan just beat OSU for the first time since Brady was on the roster?

They really need to get Detroit and Dallas off of Thanksgiving.

One thing I will say for Goodell is that he has done a great job marketing the game and expanding it overseas, and he expanded the regular season and post season. He moved the pro bowl, created Thursday night football and the flex games option for games late in the season.

Why he can't wrestle Thanksgiving away from those 2 teams is beyond me. Only the SB is the time when football is watched more than Thanksgiving. Even people who don't follow sports if you asked them what the biggest traditions of Thanksgiving are would say turkey and football. The sport is literally celebrated on one of the biggest holidays where people are spending hours inside eating with the TV on. And we are subjected to the worst franchise year after year with Detroit and then Dallas who has to be the biggest tease team of the past 25 years. It's so awful and such a waste of a day that could be spectacular if they just picked the best match ups like they do for Sunday and Monday night football.

I doubt that Goodell did any of that. He's there to take the hit for the owners.

The NYFL uses selective enforcement of rules. My favorite example was when they waived the SB rules (one time only) so that they could have it in the Jete stadium and sell their fans PSLs. Sadly for the fans it worked to perfection.

Dallas/Oakland was the highest rated regular season game in 30 years and you wonder why the Cowboys are playing on Thanksgiving?

Bucs G Ali Marpet (abdomen) is out for Sunday’s game at Indianapolis.

Bucs guard Ali Marpet, listed as doubtful with an abdominal injury, will not play Sunday vs. Colts. Aaron Stinnie will start in his place.

I’d think Nick Leverett — who’s been inactive every week this season — dresses Sunday and is the top backup at guard for Bucs.

No practice-squad elevations for the Bucs — first time without any since Week 2. Speaks well for how relatively healthy they are.

At 4:15 Im either gonna be double happy or double pissed. I feel like it’s inevitable.

Godwin is really good and still has years left in his prime; he's the most essential player to that offense besides the oft-injured, aging AB and Gronk. I think paying big money for big time players makes sense. Godwin (FA in 2022) and Vea (FA in 2023) should be their top priorities going forward.
The offense hasn't been nearly as good without Gronk and AB. Imagine if they didn't have Godwin too.
That's why I think they will franchise Godwin again if they can't sign him to a long term deal.
If Brady plays till 2023, they can work it that they take a cap hit in 2024 as their rebuild/reload year. Just like what the Pat's did in 2020.

lol dallas will play on thanksgiving till the end of time now why Detroit is still on is beyond me. I get it’s tradition to have Detroit but they could have started another team years back

Wirfs was still the best pick but imagine the possibilities right now…
