Jones was actually on that 2016 team but like James White, he‘s on IR now so doesn’t count for purposes of my question. The other guys you name were SB 53 guys in 2018 against the Rams. Sicilian got them all.

The Titans too. But right now we are in the mix for the top tier teams in the AFC. I am excited to see us play the Bills who are so up and down. If we can take the division and get a home game then I feel good that we can do some damage in the post-season. My dream is we face the Chiefs early and take them out. LOL

But yeah I agree. I think the Titans-Bills-Colts-Bills gauntlet will tell us one way or the other if this team is a really good one that can make noise in the playoffs.

Falcons sucked yesterday. Cowboys destroyed them. Now, I fully expect some fight and fire from their offense on a short week at home.
But, if our D can stay hungry and humble, we should be able to handle them.
Our OL seemed even better with Brown, and seems to be really congealing. Wynn and Brown both gave up their worst pass blocks on the same play when both Ends sandwiched Mac. But, the run blocking was very good, and I'm extremely bullish on Rham - he looks like a 3-down starter.
I hope he can do it again on short rest (I assume they give Harris another week to recoup)
I am curious if they do anything special with Pitts. He is a rookie so I doubt it, but do they try to use JJ Williams or Phillips or Duggar on an island?
Trivia question: there are 10 members of the current Patriots active 53 man roster who were part of Super Bowl 51. Name them without looking them up.
Hint - James White is excluded since he’s on IR, Jamie Collins is also excluded since he’s on IR and wasn’t actually on the team by the time that game happened.
One advantage the Pats have is that the Pats have played Matt Ryan before and know how to defend him. The Falcons have little to work on with Mac Jones. With a short week, this can be huge. Add that the Pats recently have revamped how they are playing defense, it could be really tough for the Falcons to prepare.
As some have said got to watch this one as it could end up being a difficult game if the Pats are over confident. BB and the coaches have seen this before though and as also mentioned they should know Ryans game inside out by now. On a Falcons note I will be watching for Pitts to see how he performs (or not hopefully).

Regarding overconfidence and trap game, we’ll see, but one thing that falls in the Patriots favor is that they’ve already had a trap game and pulled through after falling early victim to it. They had a huge home game against the Bucs, then a road game against a 1 win Texan team before big home game against the Cowboys. Pats started out awful against the Texans and didn’t turn things around until midway through the 3rd quarter (with an assist from the WTF punt that was blocked).
I’m sure BB is drilling that game into the team as I type this. Hopefully that’ll help prevent it from happening again this week. We’ll see though.

BB postgame was acting as if he'd never played the Atlanter Falcons and it would be a coaching challenge. True dat the exact 2021 team but he knows Ryan well as you state. I expect the Pats coaching staff to be better prepared and have their newly bought in 53 prepared.
Let's start Hoyer and totally flummox them!!!
No?
Pats D gives up 11.5 fewer points/game compared to ATL D
Pats O scores 7.7 more points/game compared to ATL O
Points differential Pats O-D = +98
Points differential ATL O-D = -85
Verses common opponents:
ATL 3-3 (Wins: NYJ, MIA, NO...Losses: Bucs, Car, Dal)
Pats 2-4 (Wins: NYJ, Car...Losses: MIA, NO, Bucs, Dal)
