If OBJ is released by the Browns and is unclaimed, do you want him in NE on the cheap? (Update: Signed by Rams)

Has Miller played yet?
He didnt last week. I am sure they are working toward that. Funny thing is, there is probably more pressure on the Rams now. lol. I still like the core units and a few pieces here and there. Most of the rams players are hired hitmen.

Almost everyone in the league is throwing a deep cover 2 at the Chiefs, and Reid is bullheaded in refusing to adapt to it and scheme against it.

The big loser in this is Mahomes.

Reid ran that short passing, run centric offense for years with Alex Smith. All those creative formations using fullbacks, running backs on wheel routes, etc. This is the quarterback unable to adapt.

Brady’s team’s defenses lost to those quarterbacks. But if you want to put it like that, he’s also beaten the Greatest Show on Turf, McNabb in his prime, Wilson and the Legion of Boom in their primes, Ryan, the 2018 Rams, and Mahomes.

In any event, I’m not sure they have the edge if both teams are healthy. Their only corner of any real value is Ramsey who would be nullified because the Rams would have to lean heavily on zone. Donald is a beast, but Miller is a shadow of his former self. Stafford always finds a way to puke all over himself.

We can argue back and forth about who was responsible for all the Patriots playoff losses over the past 20 years...some of it was on the defense, some of it was on Brady and the offense, some of it was on coaching.

In any event, the Bucs D isn't exactly the 85 Bears or vintage Belichick defenses of the 2000s. They are capable of choking. THey've given up their fair share of points to the Cowboys, Rams, Saints, Eagles, and Falcons.

and this, as I said, its what mahomes is. Its the style he plays and it only works well when you have those types of players and in the NFL with free agency and a cap, you dont always have that.

Yeah they did last year too and then....a lot of thier issues on defense this year has been injury. Those players will start to come back. I am not sure any pats fans should really bash anything the pats or Brady did in the last 20 years in the playoffs. Its about 10 times better than anyone else.

Yea and it's surprising too as Reid has always liked his short passing game. Great play designs. Throwing to running backs. Rub routes, etc.

Hill's ypc is way down. Just so bizarre.

Great move again by the Rams. In hindsight, I think it makes sense for both sides. He’ll get a lot of spacing and the Rams like to spread it around. They just lost Desean Jackson, so this seems like a good replacement.

If he didn't sign with us, I'm just glad he went to an NFC team...to me if it's not the Pats, I don't really care who he goes to, but it does seem to make sense and he's going to a great defense and a warm weather climate.

The injury argument for the Bucs D does not hold water. They got lit up on opening night by a guy who hadn't played football in nearly 10 months. What injuries were the Bucs dealing with vs Dallas? Their issues on D are personnel, specifically their secondary. The one available player who would have solved a lot of their problems IMO was Stephon Gilmore. From what I've seen, It's feast or famine with them. If the pass rush isn't getting home, they tend to give up a lot of yards and points. On the hand if their front 7 is putting a lot of pressure on the QB, like they did vs Chicago, they are demolishing their opponents.

Thing is...Hill and Kelce should be enough, I have seen the pats win with less. I think its the style they play, it works when you have a lot of fast guys all over the place, but if you dont....
KC is not the Pat's.

Brady spread the ball around. Mahomes does not. Hill and Kelce are top fantasy football picks because they rack up the yards and points.

Now, defenses have copied the Bucs Super Bowl game plan and taken away Hill and sometimes Kelce. Mahomes is lost. OBJ would have been a nightmare on the Chiefs.

Now that‘s over, I’ll stick what I’ve said all along.

Glad Bill tried to sign OBJ. Considering OBJ has maybe one payday left, I can see why he didn’t want to risk it. Rookie quarterback, and if you look at Mac’s stats, it’s a tough sell when the alternatives are Rodgers, Mahomes, Stafford. And the Patriots are 5-4. Cold New England.

Would have been nice, but I still don’t think he makes much of a difference and is more of a depth guy.

I think the Rams try to buy up free agency before, didnt work out then either. The Bad thing is, their D is not as good this year as it was last year. Last year was the time to get it.
The Rams defense has given up the 10th fewest points in the NFL with Von Miller coming online.

OBJ makes the LAR offense and defense better.

Yeah, I’ll agree with you there. Their defensive backfield definitely needs to get healthy if they’re going to repeat.

OBJ took Josina for a spin. She will feel this one for a while.

I am cautiously optimistic.. maybe agholor turns a leaf and becomes the wr1 he was supposed to be and Harry becomes a decent wr3 like hogan and Meyers becomes Edelman and Bourne amendola and Hunter Henry - Gronk 2.0 while all other units see significant upgrades...

Now let's hope for Trent brown to come in and swallow opposing defensive linemen and provide a straight line path for rham and Harris to rammmmm it into end zone...
