Nick Chubb test positive for COVID

Maybe they fly him out Sunday morning if that makes the difference?
Maybe.

I don't know what the NFL policy is. If vaccinated, can he have a positive test but no symptoms and play?

ME: Another thread that should be about a player in the protocol and whether or not he might play on Sunday.

ALSO ME: (Because I know what's coming)

What are the odds that you test positive on Tuesday and have two negative tests in a 24 hours apart by Saturday when the Browns get on the plane to fly to New England?
Good question. If he tested positive today, what's the fastest possible scenario? Negative tomorrow (Wed), negative next day (Thurs), clear for Friday... theoretically. If he's still positive tomorrow, he'd potentially be negative Thurs and Fri and be good to go for Sat... after that I'm unsure. If he's positive on Thursday, are they gonna test him on Friday, get a negative result, and then test him at the airport on Saturday hoping for a negative to let him on?

I agree, but on the positive side, we've got some really creative posters. A for "effort", but F for "why did you do this? please don't do this"

No

Maybe they can do them as late as Saturday and Sunday mornings and put him on the 100 minute flight here from Cleveland.

This might just be me but, when we talk about Chubb’s availability, I think it’s really important that we discuss the politics around both the virus and the vaccine. I may be wrong, but I think a lot of people have their minds open to change and it’s also not really a topic that we’ve covered in depth yet.

I'm just sick of all these healthy, socio-political discussion threads getting derailed by talking about football.

does anyone know what sort of testing the NFL uses, and which one they have to test negative with?

PCR vs antigen specifically? seems one can test positive on a PCR test for quite some time, but once you throw a negative on the antigen testing, you are no longer contagious.......a vaccinated individual with no symptoms can throw a negative antigen test rather quickly.......PCR could take longer

Belichick strikes again!!!!

Looks like all the Browns RB's are now on the COVID list.

Kareem Hunt is still on IR

Hunt can be activated from IR this week.

Today’s booster is going to create a warm, glowing feeling all over my body.
Getting a fake ID so I can get it again on Friday.
Do me a favor and send me that card they give you....

Prevea Health is looking for a spokesperson for their new Ohio division.

  • Vaccinated individuals who are asymptomatic may return to the facility once they have received two consecutive negative laboratory PCR tests taken at least 24 hours apart. Vaccinated individuals who are symptomatic must also return two negative tests taken at least 24 hours apart and must be asymptomatic for 48 hours. If vaccinated individuals don't return two consecutive negative tests, they may return after 10 days.

I thought the NFL was using a roll of the dice like they do on officiating and player discipline.

Maybe.

Must going off my own perception, I think he has about a 10-20% chance to play.

He would have to have two negative Covid tests in a 24 hour span, and since it’s a road game, I think the first would need to be Thursday night or Friday morning.

The possibility of a false positive test seems almost zilch because others also tested positive.

So, can he clear it in 2-3 days? That‘s rarely happened.
