Aaron Rodgers positive for COVID (update: “furious” status leaked, claims he didn’t lie, attacks NFL protocols)

If they actually followed the CBA, he wouldn’t get suspended, to my knowledge. It’s the same as Brady, who 100% should not have been suspended under a rule for which a fine existed, under a clause designed to punish players for betting on games and other outrageously shady violations.

Not that the ****head shouldn’t be punished, but I don’t see where the mechanism exists besides Article 46.
In all reality even if the air was let out of the balls, that is a 25k equipment violation. NFL turned it into a court case, media leaks and lies, suspensions, fines, loss of draft picks, public shaming. I watched on a video of the vikings heating footballs up on the sideline of a game....their punishment? They were told not to do that. So yeah I have no expectation that anything would happen to him.....but he flat out called out the NFL and said this was a sham and they were just trying to look good. If they dont do something to him, they have no balls.

I would say someone who has a complex because his QB left the team so now he bashes him all the time has more of a personality disaorder than brady does.
He left, now he is the other guy, the enemy. I never liked him as a human being while he was with the Pats except he won games. He built friendship with other players in the sport it benefitted him and they got benefitted as well. May TB lose all there remaining games, he left. He wanted too much, did he earn the right, he did the job he was paid to do and he did it well with other people assisting. Moving on, he left, he is the enemy now, on the other side as one of 53.

I literally had to see if you were referring to Brady or Rodgers.he is beloved by every player he played with and the coaches. I am not sure when he stole your girlfriend but damn. Did you actually say he wanted to much??? LMAO...wow....are you like screwing with me? Is this a serious post?

Before I really laugh, was he being serious? I am not sure of some people on here so I do not know if this was like his thing or he makes jokes like that, because its almost comical.

He’s serious.

I don't have a personal issue with him quoting MLK in a vacuum, but he was specifically quoting MLK to say that he has a responsibility to protest unjust rules - something he was absolutely not doing - we only know he was unvaccinated because he got caught. If he didn't catch COVID and get caught in the lie, he would have continued on with his charade indefinitely. In what way is that any sort of "protest"? Folks don't usually protest something by hiding among the ranks of the group they're supposedly against up until they get spotted.

100 % this.Yup much respect to Wentz, Jackson, Cousins and crew they didn't hide on their stance whether you agree with them or not. If he was upfront about it since the beginning this wouldn't a big issue. He didn't even need to disclose if he didn't want to either this is all about the broken protocols and the lie back in August

Who was the WR who bravely called out Rodgers a decade ago. Donald Driver? Anyways that guy was brave and spot on..

.

Getting Covid put him in the 10 day quarentine (which is not required if you're vaccinated) and THAT revealed his unvaccinated status. So, yes, getting Covid did reveal his status..

My mistake, thanks for the clarification.

I hear what you’re saying, but I can’t be the only one who cannot respect those guys and their selfish choice. I’d rather say « I respect AR even less than… »

This is my favorite thread this week. So Aaron was allergic to ingredients? Who knows. Can't trust a liar. Also I want to see a 30 for 30 of Aaron just doing basic things walking around at UC Berkeley given he just talked about "woke" culture.

Seems like a good idea right now to keep pelting the league in the face with spitballs.

Either Rodgers is lying or the NFL has bad doctors, because no reputable doctor would claim that you lcoild not get infected or spread COVID, as everyone has known since the vaccines were approved that both can happen. The vaccines are to protect from serious illness or death, they aren’t bulletproof, but they are the best option available.

I am vaxed.
This is not about Rodgers.

When the NFL made up its two sets of Covid rules, it was thought vaccines provided immunity and prevented spread of the virus.

The rules now make no sense.

Incoming:
Biden Admin 'vax mandate' for employers (100+ employees)
To be policed by OSHA
Announced after Tuesday's elections.

the rules make perfect sense, and they are easy to understand.

The NFL is trying to protect a 20 billion dollar business. These guys all knew it going in, and agreed to it.

They were given the option to opt out. A Super majority of them didn't.

Don't come 'round *****in' about it after you cash dem checks...

Because of his talent, no one really revisits why so many teams passed on him in the 2005 draft. The scouting report was Alex Smith is the better leader; Aaron Rodgers is the better passer.

You’re asking what happens if the federal mandate applies to the NFL?
