It worked out perfectly. I was ecstatic on draft day. Didn't have to trade extra and got our guy. If Mac wasn't there I would have gone defense with the pick.

We DID get lucky on draft day. Carolina and Denver both took CBs at 8-9 instead of QBs. That forced the Cowboys to trade down with Philly, who took Smith. That in turn forced the Giants to trade down with Chicago, who took Fields. I know New Orleans was sniffing around the idea of moving into the top 15 to draft a QB. However, I have no doubt Belichick wasn't just going to take any QB that was available. He did his HW on Mac and I'm sure had numerous conversations with Saban. Ironically enough, our mediocrity last year set us up nicely for the future.

Brees, I gave you an example. You want to know why there aren't a hundred examples. I told you that also, it's an exclusive club, there are only 32 jobs and fewer players than that are great players who last.

Moreover both Brees and Brady played on the cusp of these new rules and unlike Brady Brees played on some dogs early in his career and had some bad injuries. If you think Brady played longer because of pliability you're smoking too much of that TB12 weed.

I can give you an example of the 70's and 80's lol, the talk was, the rules made QB's play longer, no it has not shown that. Other QB's in the past played into their 40's some at high levels, just like now. None played as long or as well as brady. Sorry facts. I showed this, and you cannot handle facts, not sure why.

Thank you, yes...finally. Yes we got lucky that Mac was not taken before 15. It was not some amazing move that nobody saw coming. 5 mil pats fans all wanted Mac and when he dropped to 15, it was the biggest no brainer of a pick in the history of this team.

Drafted a midget D lineman 3rd overall instead of Watson or Mahomes which proved to be the difference in 2019. Shanahan and Lynch seen high fiving thinking they won the 2017 draft.

Passed on Tom Brady because they didn’t want to pay him and take the spotlight away from Shanahan.

Passed on Stafford only offering a 2nd.

Could've got Jones at 12, but trades 2 first rounders for a one year Division 3 player they probably could’ve gotten at 12 as well.

This is only scratching the surface with their recent bad moves.

Imagine thinking trey lance played in division 3. Kind of makes you lose a lot of credibility

I stopped caring what Joe Montana thinks when... well, I never cared. The same goes for criticism of the Pats or Tom for cheating. If I thought they did anything wrong I might care a little, but they didn't and I don't.

NYFL players have always been big. My first game was at Fenway Park and I can still remember seeing Ernie Ladd (6'9", 290 lbs) bouncing off the goalposts in pregame. The difference with the big players now is that there are more of them and they're faster.

Obviously Brady is the GOAT but there are more levels of greatness and that's subjective. I like the bigger QBs that play in the pocket. The smaller ones that run around aren't my cup of tea and don't seem to last.

I've seen players as far back as the 60's and I've never seen any player look so good at 44 years old as TB12, and it's not even close.

An that is what am was saying, QB's are not going to play longer becuase a lot of them are the run QB's who tend to take more hits. All of this is basically an excuse for why Brady plays at a high level at 44 and no other QB's did not ones that played today or 20 years ago or ever.
