It has to be brutal for him with Brady reducing his career to a footnote in NFL history. Now hes doing those dumb insurance commercials carrying luggage.
The man doesn't need the money. Christ he just made $42m when GitLab went IPO.
I have to assume this is purposefully overboard for the sake of comedy ?It has to be brutal for him with Brady reducing his career to a footnote in NFL history.
Sure.I have to assume this is purposefully overboard for the sake of comedy ?
Obviously you don’t follow AM very much.I have to assume this is purposefully overboard for the sake of comedy ?

...and he shouldn't feel that way at all.It has to be brutal for him with Brady reducing his career to a footnote in NFL history.
Well said....and he shouldn't feel that way at all.
Joe is deathly afraid of his football life reduced to being irrelevant.
It's kinda like that scene in Everyone's All American when and old Gavin Grey walks out on the field and he thinks the crowd is cheering for him but instead it's the present day LSU team coming out of the tunnel.
He hasn't played a meaningful game since I was a senior in college for cripes sake but to him I bet it still feels like yesterday.
There is no doubt Cool Joe feels the NEED to be relevant. He needs to hear the fans still cheer for him and be admired, acknowledged, etc.
For older fans like me he is.....he's just no longer the GOAT.
Now hes doing those dumb insurance commercials carrying luggage.

Joe invested in the healthcare company so it's convenient for him. It‘s fun and easy to do commercials. Sometimes it can lead to other roles. That said, I don’t really care what he thinks and his comments are unfair to Trey Lance, despite his disclaimer.
Montana is desperately trying to stay relevant.
Huh?!? What did Montana do here to try to stay relevant? Montana went on a ESPN sports show and had a "hot take". That is something that literally hundreds of former players do every week on ESPN and other media outlets.
And Montana is still arguably the second best QB of all time. I don't know if he needs to struggle to stay relevant.
Is Peyton Manning desperate to stay relevant when he does the Manningcasts with his brother? Is Julian Edelman desperate to stay relevant because he is an analyst on Inside the NFL. Montana is now a paid on air personality for ESPN+. That is what a lot of former players do. They work in the media and give hot takes for a living.
I honestly don't get why Patriots fans get their underwear twisted over Montana. There's even a thread in the Brady forum about how Montana is jealous of Brady - seriously, who cares? The whole point of this thread was Mac Jones and how he has emerged as the best QB of last year's draft. We should be happy with Montana's take.
