OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Yeah they can’t really lose a game from here if they want ti get the first seed.

Brady played well then poorly then really well then a stupid throw he is going to hate for a while.

He is on track for - 50 TD 10 INT 5300 YDS - he could win the MVP if he doesn’t lose a game from here
In the big picture, this is monumental for Brady's legacy. If he actually puts up 50 TDs and 5000+ yards at 44 it will be surreal. I know we all want another post season run and SB but honestly he doesn't need it with his 7 rings. Dominating the league at his age and carrying this putrid defense and clown show coaching will do more for him in the overall picture than another ring even though back-to-back would be super sweet.

Ifs infuriating how often the Bucs blitz comes within a single heartbeat of sacking the QB only for him to throw the pass and get the first down.

really not a bad time to have a bye. Get healthy and get a hold of yourselves.
I really wish the Bucs would dump Bowles. All that talent is being wasted under him.

I am assuming Payton will start Hill the rest of the way which is unfortunate for the Saints. As great as last night's win was, losing Winston is a death knell for them. They probably still get a WC but they are not beating anyone in the post season with gadget man.

Thanks to Devin White's cheap shot...

Are you really stupid enough to not know these are filmed months ago? Do you think they film Christmas commercials in December as well?
He's probably one of the fans who cried to the mods to have Brady discussions moved to a sub-forum and now, after one of Brady's few losses, has decided to show up here to take some cheap shots.

What's with this infatuation with coaches? Sean Payton won 1 SB in his entire career and that was aided by a PEDton Manning pick 6 to end the game. It's about the players, not the coaches. Always has been and always will be.

One of the worst crunch time throws I can remember from Brady.
It's weird. Brady using the short passing game to get the winning FG is usually like nothing to him. But it seems like once in a blue moon he'll be a little impatient, and yesterday will happen. The first down throw was oddly deep too and didn't feel right. He usually takes the drive-starter, the 6-8 yard pass or whatever, and away he goes. Just felt like an odd case of impatience.

But you know, nothing goes in a straight line. There's the little bit of angst here, to set up the Super Bowl run later.

That's hilarious. It shouldn't have even been a penalty. It was a jersey grab around the shoulder blade.

Another example of the refs being one sided.

The injury was all on Winston. These running QBs keep on trying to get those few extra yards and getting injured. The NFL doing all they can to protect the running QBs and the dumb decisions they make including changing the rules and calling bogus penalties.

These taunting calls are also ridiculous. In a game of inches it could mean the difference between winning and losing.

The proliference of betting is also not a good thing for the integrity of the sport.

I'm ready to walk away from being of fan of the NFL but still around as long as Brady keeps hanging on.

Maybe you should pick up the rule book

Horse Collar Tackle

Definition

Tackling another player by grabbing the inside of an opponent's shoulder pads or jersey from behind and immediately yanking the player down. Exceptions: This is a legal tackle inside the tackle box. It is also not illegal just because a player is grabbed by the back of the jersey or pads before being brought down. It has to be a yank that takes them down, and it has to occur immediately.

It's a balancing act between the methodical NE offence and Arians no risk it no biscuit. They found the right balance last year.

I understand the first deep shot as it seemed that the Bucs were trying to catch them by surprise by doing the unexpected. But they had a lot of time and still 3 more plays. They should have gone methodical afterwards. In NE that would have been the guaranteed strategy.

I'm not sure why the clown is in here this morning talking about horse collars when he would be the first one claiming the opposite of whatever stance he has right now if it served him. So many penalties it was insane but the team wasn't disciplined either. I missed both endings because of Halloween so not sure what happened on the Brady INT.

What about Sean Payton though? Did you guys see the video of the locker room afterwards? It was like a night club and Winston was dancing on crutches. You have to give it to them and to Payton, they know how to get it done. That was a clutch win even with all the penalties. Overall I keep saying it but the refs this year look like they are calling penalties to keep games close and I don't like it.

No. I'm not that hardcore. I just watch the game. But something is off between the rule book and how the game is actually called as Jerseys are constantly being pulled from behind. The only time I notice horse collar being called is when the infraction is around the neck and shoulder.

And also to add to my whining of the refs this morning I'll also add that having QBs run all over the place, especially on key downs, is bad for the game.

Edit: Also want to ***** about commercials because it's now out of control. Switching back and forth between both games and STILL spent a majority of the time watching commercials. Absolutely painful.

Football is all about matchups and not just W/L records. Some personnel don't match up as well vs "inferior" teams. Payton is one of the best NFL coaches. Division games are usually tough. He knew how to exploit Tamper's weak DB corpse (sic). Plus, sometimes a star player has an off day. Remember when with the Pats TFB would have an off game? Funny to say that with 4 TDS thrown!

The Saints have TB12 number. In all the games they've played including the playoffs, they struggle mightily against the Saints on offense.
