lol at the sad state of "sports journalism"

it's not about understanding the game, providing insight.....it's all about self promotion, getting hits, hot takes and getting noticed (doesn't matter if it's ********)......tom at times has been one of the good ones, but he's fallen victim to the "nu media" mentality, imho.......he's no volin, but he's definitely sending ben a christmas card

That’s an embarrassing goof.

I like Curran but there is no way I'm watching his postgame show with Ted Johnson there bashing the team after a win.

...it’s a typo. Curran has been on the Pats beat for over 20 damn years good lord.

That's the thing, it's not a typo. A little critical analysis would reveal that.

The 4-5 remark was followed by a "Can level record next week with Carolina".

He didn't mean to type 4-4 and accidentally hit '5', he genuinely thought the Patriots were 3-5 coming into today.

It's a bad look.

Ted's analysis is awesome. yes, he definitely has a hair across his azz for belichick and maybe krafty Bob... but I still watch the show. Cassell is good and the chick is useless and adds nothing and Curran pimps whatever Tom Sr gives him... but otherwise it's a good show for pats junkies.... it's a long way from when the 5th quarter was the only local post game on tv

It’s either a crappy post by an intern or a post by a guy who cares more about Twitter follows more than actual content

Touche, yeah you’re right. That’s weird. But still, Curran isn’t a hot take artist. He likes the damn team. This isn’t Tomase or Shaughnessy assuming he even watches football still.

I don't think he knows what a football is

Curran on Twitter is pretty much Ben Volin…..his print stuff is still viable, but whomever handles his Twitter account is piss poor

you think this is bad...wait'll you get a load of Felcher and Douche tomorrow afternoon...you'll think the Pats lost by 30 points

No they’re gonna say it’s a good win because as someone who actually listens to them I can tell you that’s what they have been saying for a week.

Yeah...I'd give Tom the benefit of the doubt and wouldn't kill him over it. Nobody's perfect, and Sundays are certainly days where he's asked to multi-task quite a bit more. He's also been around forever and he's one of the good ones. Not to mention that, and I can certainly speak from experience, all of us in our late 40s are certainly more subject to moments like that...unfortunately. And from what I've been told, it only gets better, so I'm super excited about that.

It's bad. All of a sudden (over the past 6-ish months), I have had to start holding things no closer than 8"-12" from my eyes to be able to read stuff. My wife's annual enrollment period is coming up and for the first time she's going to have to add me to her work's vision plan (we're all on her insurance). I think my warranty appears to be running out
